yeah he pretty much runs DJ sets out of his bedroom and invites people around to pop pills all the time lol

i get sick of doof-doof after a while

gaslight 01-26-2009 04:14 AM

Haha I have mates like that. Good set up if you're selling the pills too.

I get sick of doof doof about five seconds before I start hearing it.

I think this Fender '62 Jazz Bass is dead sexy but I don't want to spend $4G on an instrument.
Hey I just got a mad idea for Chu to work on.

It's a browser add-on right. You highlight something, like a name or whatever, and right click. It adds to your right-click menu an option called "Wiki it" and it instantly opens a new window in which it searches wikipedia for the thing you specify.
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/smart-keywords.html

Has improved my efficiency by 50%. Sorry chu :(
I played Super Double Dragon with him online the other night we beat up people together it's a positive first step.
Good times, good times.

gaslight 01-26-2009 05:04 AM

Almost...
well whatever floats your ever sinking boat
Gravy boat tbh.

gaslight 01-26-2009 05:13 AM

Gravy as a wax apple.

Meatplow 01-26-2009 05:42 AM

gravy moar liek gay-vy

i'm starting to enjoy the second half of Isis's Panopticon, usually I would turn it off after the first couple of tracks

gaslight 01-26-2009 05:47 AM

Haha yeah. It's just because there's so much on it hey. It's like trying to eat your way through a giant bowl of food all at once. It's like the musical equivelant of reheating the remainder of a big lunch for dinner.

badtaste 01-26-2009 05:51 AM

I'm having that problem with Oceanic.

Except that I can't get past the first song.

gaslight 01-26-2009 05:53 AM

Try putting it on in the background while you do something else, like read a book or an article or play a videogame.

big80smullet 01-26-2009 05:54 AM

beginning and the end. its the perfect metaphor for how i listen to that album tbh

AARON: i am tentatively saying yes. i shall have to check my schedule and get back to you. Sounds like a good night though

gaslight 01-26-2009 06:21 AM

I'm bored.

big80smullet 01-26-2009 06:26 AM

only boring people get bored.

i broke out some old ben harper albums and am listening and reminiscing about how much i used to like him and kinda still do

I_WEAR_RED_PANTS 01-26-2009 06:30 AM

ben harper is good

and i'm sure unboring people have boring periods of their life

gaslight 01-26-2009 06:32 AM

Haha cheers mate.

I might try doing some sketching, tomorrow I've gotta start learning the set of a band I'm joining on Thursday.

I_WEAR_RED_PANTS 01-26-2009 06:34 AM

if i show you a photo of me, will you sketch a picture of me doing something hilarious?

big80smullet 01-26-2009 06:35 AM

i will photoshop a comical pair of breast on you

gaslight 01-26-2009 06:37 AM

When I said "sketching" what I really meant was "watching Foxtel".

But if I were in any way a talented artist I would have been happy to draw funny pictures of you.

I_WEAR_RED_PANTS 01-26-2009 06:41 AM

haha i can see how those 2 are similar.

photoshop this Evan.

gaslight 01-26-2009 06:43 AM

Yeah the only striking difference is I'm really good at one of them.

I_WEAR_RED_PANTS 01-26-2009 06:54 AM

haha, how is one good at watching foxtel?

what songs are included in the set for the band you're joining?

covers? originals?

gaslight 01-26-2009 06:55 AM

Well I've had a lot of practise at it so I'm pretty sure I'm better at it than the average person would be. I suppose skill with the remote and time management of programming are some of the factors.

It's all originals, they gave me a live recording from a few years ago.

big80smullet 01-26-2009 07:09 AM

are you transcribing them or did they give you music?

gaslight 01-26-2009 07:10 AM

Just gonna figure it out by ear and memorise it, won't transcribe it to paper.

Meatplow 01-26-2009 07:15 AM
Haha yeah. It's just because there's so much on it hey. It's like trying to eat your way through a giant bowl of food all at once. It's like the musical equivelant of reheating the remainder of a big lunch for dinner.
Yeah, the moment So Did We and Backlit came together was just beautiful. Love the density.
