i doubt it. what kind of car is it, im very hard to please.
2005 Porsche 911.

Akira 10-29-2006 09:01 PM
Actually, there are songs on those EPs that didn't make it to that CD. He released 3 five song EPs, and only 10 of the tracks off of the LP are from those.
Well all the tracks on the CD are on the EPs too I think.

In other news, my new bass is awesome.
Hey, now we're getting somewhere. :D

I like that. I think we're definitely going in the right direction. Maybe if the colours were a bit darker? :)
YES!!

i knew i was onto something.

i just wanted to get a basic idea down, so i just used 2 colors.

my inspiration was looking down from a boat or something into the "abyss that is the ocean". that cool?

also, i was thinking of possbly trying to put the text somehow as if they were shadows of things down below, is that what you had in mind? what sort of blues are you looking for?

Lol no. Its not actually mine its my dads.

The Brad 10-29-2006 09:03 PM

American manufacturers are not in the least concerned with fuel economy or innovation and that upsets me, greatly.

PaulSimonon 10-29-2006 09:04 PM

Hey.

Ting 10-29-2006 09:05 PM

Does anyone also think Doom was a terrible TERRIBLE movie.

Very cool. :)

The text thing, I'd need to see in order to give my approval on, since I can't totally conceptualize it, and if I were to, it probably still wouldn't be how you see it.

The blues? Just a bit darker. The 'main' blue is a touch too bright for my tastes, but it might just look that way because there's so much open space.

The Brad 10-29-2006 09:05 PM

I never saw it but I'll take your word for it.

i feel the same way.

what i want to see is a "spiritual successor" to the old VW buses. some new cars seem to draw on that a little, but i'd really like to see some sort of remake revival of it by an import company.

Yeah, all of the tracks are, except for "Still" and "Bitches Ain't Shit." If you'd like, I'll upload you the 3 EPs, if you don't have them.

And I hate you and your 7 string. :upset:

thats what i thought.

how many base blues do you think you want 4?

also, i left the open space there for possible locations for text. after i finish writing this paper for US History (college level, ugh...) i'll fool around with that first one a bit more, just for ideas, mostly for text though.

Pinhead13 10-29-2006 09:09 PM

My family has never owned an American car. Is it Japanese or nothing....

I still can't believe I found it at GC. Plus I didn't get until the day after I saw it, so I was freaking out big time that someone would get it.
The weird thing is that it doesn't fell that big too be. It looks big, but doesn't feel that bad.

College papers < life.

Yeah, 4 sounds reasonable. Ideally, I'd like a happy medium between not too sparse, and not too busy. I'ma gonna trust your judgement on this one.

And I figured, afterward, that the space was for text.

The Brad 10-29-2006 09:12 PM

My parents were always American minded, they played around with a bunch of European cars and a Datsun Z before I was born, but after that they were strictly Ford, just because of outdated opinions. When I bought my car my mom wouldn't lend me money to buy a Honda because "the seats are uncomfortable" what kinda **** is that? Haha

Whatever, I got it to buy a Prius so booya!

It's pretty amazing. The Conklin tone is pretty much my ideal tone. I've listened to recordings by CK, John Turner, and countless others and the tone is always different but contains that subtle distinctness that you get from a Conklin.

The low strings are ridiculous. Great tone.

I see what your saying. There really isn't any kind of basic, cheap, reliable van-type thing around these days. Volkswagen should just start making Bugs, Things, and Buses again.

The Brad 10-29-2006 09:20 PM

^ pwnage. (WRX)

Ting 10-29-2006 09:21 PM

damn. Anyone heard louis johnson's bassline in get on the floor by michael jackson? So awesome. Just finished learning it by ear.
