Apocalyptic Raids 08-19-2006 08:47 PM

South of Heaven was just a slight change in direction from Reign In Blood. I wouldn't say anything Slayer have done is experimental in the slightest.
...'Live Undead' makes me orgasm.
Yeah, but it would be much better if it were actually live.

The Feeding 08-19-2006 10:33 PM

okay, any metalhead will INSTANTLY recognize the riff from Raining Blood, or Angel Of Death. I like the riff from Silent Scream and also the intro riff from Jihad bc its so odd.

Good call :thumb:
the new record rules you guys. what's wrong with it? it's classic slayer back!
WORD TO THAT

Nostalgia 08-20-2006 01:11 AM

Hahaha, yeah, I meant it's underrated.

SimonCore 08-20-2006 06:35 PM

Live Undead makes me not want to be a Slayer fan it's so cheesy!!

About 'Christ Illusion' it's definetly there best since seasons, better than divine i'd say (even though Dittohead is one of my favourite Slayer songs) diabolous was just embarrasing (Stain of mind the exception) GHUA generally was average however i'm a huge fan of disciple and New faith.

Has anyone heard the older version of 'Here comes the pain'?? When I d'loaded it it says it's from an album called 'WCW mayhem' so it must be off a wrestling soundtrack. Anyone know?

pep 08-20-2006 06:40 PM

I think it appeared on the WCW Mayhem videogame or something like that. Im not so sure though.

SimonCore 08-21-2006 09:27 AM

Hmm, well it's much better than the one on GHUA.

DeafForever 08-21-2006 10:01 AM

Ohhh how I hate you now.

South of Heaven (album) is Dave's best work. Agree?

Apocalyptic Raids 08-21-2006 10:04 AM

I would agree with that.

victim of changes 08-21-2006 12:01 PM

Maybe Christ Illusion

SimonCore 08-23-2006 06:14 PM
Maybe Christ Illusion
^Makes sence. He can only get better as time goes by. Until he looses his physical strength, but that hasn't happened yet.

Anywho can someone tell me why the production is better on Show no Mercy than it is on Haunting the Chapel and Hell Awaits?

MudvayneFreak666 08-23-2006 07:36 PM
Maybe Christ Illusion
yes dudes. His drummin on here totally beats rain in blood and south of heaven. he's gotta be my favorite drummer, mostly becaue he's in slayer

pate 08-24-2006 12:21 AM

Calm down MF.

victim of changes 08-24-2006 01:24 PM

Lombardo's insane, it's that much sweeter for a listener of slayer if u play drums.

HNLzero 08-24-2006 01:43 PM

Man, Tom Araya looks so old now.

victim of changes 08-24-2006 01:44 PM

lol yea well at least hes still got his hair

UpperDecker 08-24-2006 03:21 PM

I already asked this but noone answered. What do you think of the breakdown during the end of Catatonic? Its so simple yet so awesome. I have to hear it atleast once a day.

SimonCore 08-28-2006 04:55 PM

I find Catatonic quite annoying because it sounds like it's gonna take off and get really fast but it never progresses. I like Flesh storm but it goes on a bit too long.

I'd really like to know what kind of sunglasses Kerry King wears. They're wicked.

(In particular the kind from the poster in Guitar Worlds "Metal Heroes Magazine")

Bazarov 08-31-2006 11:22 PM

I kind of like the sideburns thing he had going on... when my sideburns are finished coming in, I'll difinitely try them out once.

victim of changes 08-31-2006 11:34 PM

i've had sideburns since i was 12, lol no joke. I mean full thick ones too of course

worthless post

Bazarov 08-31-2006 11:45 PM

You're lucky. Facial hair doesn't like me. I remember a kid in 8th grade.. he was huge and must of had a testosterone surge because he was really big, full of acne and a full on beard.

I was totally listening to Slayer today in my computer multimedia class. Our teacher had a heart attack over summer and ever since the first day of school we've had subsitutes that don't know what to do, so I just bring my cd's and talk to people. It's great.

Bazarov 09-07-2006 12:21 AM

Just found out a local band, PC Deathsquad is writing a new song dedicated to Slayer called: "God Hates Your Riffs". I find this funny. When they get it up on their myspace I'll totally post it in here.

   That made my day, and it's only underway by twenty minutes.

Bazarov 09-07-2006 12:30 AM

It will most difinitely rule. They also have another song called, "Fuck Metallica" which uses their song titles... Hopefully this song will blow away the Metallica one.

On a positive note on Slayer, Haunting the Chapel still rules.

Shut up douche. Don't speak to me unless you bring crickets.

Crysiss 09-07-2006 06:39 AM

Oh, but maybe he has. As for me, Ive got no crickets.

Perhaps Crickets 09-07-2006 06:43 AM

Hmmm. That's a shame!

@ Butcher, just playing man.

I listened to htc EP earlier, best Slayer. \m/
