Wait... I thought punks weren't supposed to have good teeth...
Any good sites with good punk stencils on them. I'm looking for stuff mainly to consist of 2 colours for example a black image of something cool on a white t-shirt.
http://stencilpunx.mattrunningnaked.com/ Has a lot of punk band logos and stuff. |

Someone made a really good W/IFS shirt awhile ago... |
There is no truth to this, why would they look down upon it. I'm pretty sure they would rather kids make their own crass shirts then to buy them already made from the shop for 20 dollars.
Actually, I read this in Penny Rimbaud's book "Shibboleth" and I read about Flux's view in an interview. Edit: I am sure that they would prefer that kids made their own stuff rather than buying unlicensed merch but that is besides my point really. |

me? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/asdf23/worldinfernoinvert.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/asdf23/copy.jpg Feel free to use it, Rise Me Up, or anyone else. |
I remember you posted that first stencil a while ago, and I commented on the optical illusion-ness of it.

I just finished a Streetlight Manifesto tee that I'm pretty proud of that I made with some fabric pens (hence there being no stencil marks left). Here they are:

That mistake kind of bugs me, but it's not a big deal. Other than that, it's good. |

It drove me mad when I realised what I'd done and I kept trying to scratch the ink off or get it off with water but it didn't work :( I need to get some white fabric paint soon methinks. |

What kind of paint should I buy to paint the soles of my shoes?
|
What kind of paint should I buy to paint the soles of my shoes?
Tartan paint. And you should buy some rubber nails and a glass hammer as well. Oh, and a skirting board ladder. WHY THE HELL DO YOU WANT TO PAINT THE SOLES?! |

Where/why do I get those? I don't really know why I want to paint the soles, it just kind of occurred to me and I thought it seems cool. |
Look in this thread, nearly everyone who makes patches or shirts has to do a Crass one.
I made a Crass shirt. I don't really like it as much anymore because it's all letters. It was early in my stenciling career. And I don't like Crass quite as much as I did before. |

It will rub/flake/dirty up quickly, and no one would see it anyway, unless you are an out-of-work acrobat who specialises at walking on his hands. Those suggestions I said to buy were jokes. Tartan is a pattern of colours aranged in lines like you get on Scottish kilts, you can't get tartan paint in a can, because it's made up of three different colours. And what are rubber nails gonna nail? And a glass hammer? C'mon dude, pay attention. |

Sorry, I is stupid. I didn't know what tartan is, i thought you meant special nails for hammering them through soles, and by the time I got to glass hammer I was just too confused. Anyway, I know it probably won't work that good, but for some reason I just like the idea of Fugazi or Bad Brains on the soles of my shoes. I really don't know why, lol. So I guess basically I'm looking for the most durable paint so it won't rub off. |

I suppose. And I just thought about problems with walking on carpet. Do you think regular spraypaint would work on the sides of my shoes? They're chucks (I know, I know, but they're leopard print so it's an even trade). I'm going to stencil that Bad Brains logo on stencil punx onto it.

It'll work, just don't go wading through any puddles filled with washing powder. |
Cool. Anything in particular that would work better? I live near a paint store.
I made a No Cash stencil
http://photobucket.com/albums/d64/Flagjacket/th_nocashsten.jpg
thing about this band (for me) is... do they really have any material that sets them apart from CV/LOC? In my mind, they're really nothing more than a clone (insert Riot/Clone pun). If you've got any materieal that might sway me I'm more than willing to listen to it, but as of right now - it has been done better and before. (the same could be said for 99% of the bands in my collection, but this comparison stands out for an as yet undefined reason.) EDIT: just realizing the topic of this thread, I have this to offer: 4+ hours boiled rice can be made into a paste that can be used to hold your hairstyle in place. |
