emo/emocore guitar techniques

hey i got a question!! I couldn't open a new threat because I did not have permission to access this page and consequently i will write it down here. So, I would like to know what special guitar techniques are used in emo/emocore or do they have a certain scheme or something like this? What are the differences to a punk guitar? Can you show me any examples?
If there is a threat with the same question I'm sorry but i didn't found one.
thanks for the help...

Sep- if you want Cryonics on CD, I'll send it to you for a couple bucks + shipping

I'd buy it if I didn't live in Oman. The postal service here is too unreliable.

I'd buy it off you next time I go to Holland, though.

well you dont have to use post service all the time i thought, are there not international courier services that will take your package for a fee?

Usually the guitar players use picks, and play notes until they feel it sounds good, then make a song with it.

Ha Ha Ha. Not funny.

Drivingnaked- Mostly octave chords (like 7x9, but just try using more strings, even all six. As long as it sounds good)

deathscreamingsheep 11-06-2005 12:21 PM

deadohiosky9 11-06-2005 01:53 PM

the new Iwasmoffy songs are amazing.

cbmartinez 11-06-2005 02:05 PM

I was about to make a thread about the new songs. They are great.

deadohiosky9 11-06-2005 02:23 PM

yeah they are awesome. they also seem to have taken a lot of CTTS influence.

cbmartinez 11-06-2005 02:39 PM

I thought the same exact thing.

deadohiosky9 11-06-2005 02:41 PM

yes its very apparent. the dual female vocals, and the lyrics are similar too.

tornpictures 11-06-2005 03:04 PM

Have they changed that much? I should really start listening to them again. Last time I listened to them was 1+ year ago.

deadohiosky9 11-06-2005 03:30 PM

its not a huge change, but its a change. the vocals are more audible too.

cbmartinez 11-06-2005 08:31 PM

"Interview At The Ruins" is so depressing.

deadohiosky9 11-06-2005 08:39 PM

its a great song. non objective portrait of karma is more depressing though.

StandingStill 11-06-2005 08:45 PM

You guys NEED to hear Rolo Tomassi. Screamo/spazz band all about 16 cept the singer who is apparently a 15 year old girl. awesome awesome awesome. Yet also the most depressing thing ever. Theyve got some tracks up here, but they are a bit too short compared to their other stuff.

Nah. The part with the choir and the "maybe I put to much faith" part are so fucking good though. "In The Nervous Light Of Sunday" is depressing too, the "wade in the water" and "let the flood swell" parts.

deadohiosky9 11-06-2005 10:56 PM

all their songs are depressing. kill the switch is epic.

StandingStill 11-07-2005 05:46 AM
Rolo Tomassi sucks. They do the most token "atonal" stuff I've ever heard.
The myspace songs dont do em justice. On their latest demo they have loads of keyboard, clean vocals and all kinds of other stuff going on.

Wow 11-07-2005 08:21 AM

I lost internet.

You mean Same Shade As Concrete. But yeah- I think that and IATR are the best tracks.
