Heh, I didn't even notice that. I'll make sure to listen to it if I ever finish my reading.

Zappa 04-30-2005 08:50 PM

I got yet another fantastic Cecil Taylor album, this one entitled Nefertiti, the Beautiful One Has Come. Intensely good.

ATM 04-30-2005 09:02 PM

Pilotdrift has been playing non stop.

Sound Boy 05-01-2005 06:27 AM

im currently addicted to:

-Kings of Leon - "California Waiting" (this song is so good)
-Steve Miller Band - "keep on rockin me"
-Explosions in the Sky - "Great Death"
-TV on the Radio - "Poppy"
-Treble charger - "Brand new low"
-The Music - The Walls get Smaller

Iai 05-01-2005 07:11 AM

Cocteau Twins - Treasure.

If my mind was an actual physical entity, it would currently be sprayed all across the wall behind me.

I bought it yesterday, along with Turn On The Bright Lights.

Iai 05-01-2005 08:07 AM

Oh, and aside from those purchases, I'm now capable of downloading albums again (w00t!) because I had to re-boot my PC again.

So here's what I've got so far.

Blondie - Parallel Lines
Prince - Sign 'O' The Times
Funkadelic - Maggot Brain
The Gathering - If_Then_Else
Gorillaz - Demon Days

Well, I haven't finished downloading Demon Days yet, but I'll be digging it at some point later on today, so consider it a pre-emptive dig.
Cocteau Twins - Treasure
Very nice, they don't get enough love round these parts.

Bartender 05-01-2005 12:05 PM

I still only have Heaven and Las Vegas :-/

Anyway, my recent likings have been;
Jesu - Heart Ache EP
Boris - Feedbacker
Jesu - Jesu

And that's about it, really. They're very time-consuming.

Arrakakaka 05-01-2005 12:07 PM

Iron Maiden - Greatest Hits
Iron Maiden - Piece Of Mind
Anthrax - The Greater Of Two Evils
Iced Earth - Burnt Offerings

And I've been looking into some Judas Priest.

Luxor 05-01-2005 01:46 PM

Elliott Smith, The Decemberists, Native Nod (Thanks to Nacho), The Books and Strung Out... are what have been playing today.

Iai2 05-01-2005 02:56 PM

The Replacements - Let It Be, thanks to Zappa.

Also, The Slim Shady EP. I'd forgotten what a great song Murder Murder is.

Doctor D. 05-01-2005 03:18 PM

I just went to the library and checked out :

De La Soul - 3 ft High And Rising
RZA As Bobby Digital - Didgital Bullet
Shellac - At Action park
Poster Children - New World Record
Fishbone - The Psychotic Freinds Netwerk
Tom Waits - Bone Machine

I'll be digging these for the week.

ATM 05-01-2005 03:19 PM

Wow your library is cool. Mine doesn't have anything nearly that good.

Bukowski 05-01-2005 04:27 PM

Been listenin' to some Jesus Lizard. God, they're good.

Dog 05-01-2005 04:36 PM

Elbow - Cast of Thousands

Zappa 05-01-2005 04:51 PM

I just downloaded a 1966 release entitled Black Monk Time by garage rock band The Monks. It's one of the coolest rock albums I've gotten in a long time. Imagine an even more primitive version of The Stooges with organ, and you have a very rough idea of what they're like.

Cool. Who's in your avatar? It looks like a young Rob Halford from Judas Priest.

Gary Burger, lead singer of The Monks.

Happymeal 05-01-2005 06:31 PM
Woven Hand - Consider the Birds
That's such a good album. A shame it doesn't get enough recognition.

Zappa 05-01-2005 06:39 PM
Indian Summer and Nomeansno, thanks to IhateUsernames
NoMeansNo were incredible.

I've been diggin me some Ted Leo.
And I'm representing with a new avatar.

br3ad_man 05-01-2005 08:45 PM

I am also digging Ted Leo. I've had this album of his for the longest time and I'm only really getting into it now. I kick myself.

Zappa 05-01-2005 09:01 PM

Yeah, I seem to be pretty late on the uptake with these guys. Of course, I've never been that big on 60s rock after all.

Little Man being Erased 05-01-2005 10:28 PM

I got myself a few new albums yesterday.

Daft Punk - Homework
Air - Talkie Walkie
Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth

Currently listening to NIN and so far it sounds pretty darn good.

pixiesfanyo 05-02-2005 05:24 AM

Jaga Jazzist

Agitated_Barry 05-02-2005 12:47 PM

The Dears - The Death Of All The Romance
Willy Mason - His album has some good songs like Oxygen and Hard Hand To Hold plus a song called Live It Up which isn't on the album
The Secret Machines - Nowhere Again
Louis XIV
Maximo Park

asymm 05-02-2005 12:51 PM

Of Montreal - "The Sunlandic Twins" LP
The LP came with a bonus 12" which had an opposite side with an etching on it... it's very very cool.

Scott Herren 05-02-2005 12:55 PM

I like the new Moby album.
