There's these old guys on drums, guitar, and bass, and then four rappers come out with four huge black ladies to a hip-hop version of "Sweet Home Alabama."

My ears are bleeding.

Riva 03-20-2005 10:14 PM

So we are a Yacht Club now? Sounds like fun.

BoboTheRagingHobo 03-20-2005 10:15 PM

Not really.

Peoples perception of the world is based around their experiences in life, which makes every ones view of the world subjective.

Meh, it's overrated.

Illmatic 03-20-2005 10:16 PM
So you aren't a fan of morality then? Morality clearly establishes right and wrong in the world and views associated with them. For instance, murder. If there is no right or wrong view of murder, then people who believe it is right should be allowed to do it.
Let's not take it to extremes.

I firmly believe that someone can do whatever they please so long as they do not harm another human being.

Vince-I just want to be a parrot.

EDIT: Riva, I'm down.

Riva 03-20-2005 10:18 PM

Sup all. Actually, I am seriously considering ditching my last lecture, and cruising home. Sounds like a plan?

Jom 03-20-2005 10:18 PM

The vast majority of every American's day to day activities hurt other human beings. The food we waste, the sweat-shop produced clothing we buy, the list goes on. Unless, of course, you boycott such things?

My cousin lived in Michigan. He hated it there, so he moved to Phoenix where it's noice and wharm. Now he's banging this hot chick.

So basically:

Cold north: shit weather
Hot southwest: nice fucking life?

Eh, well then you don't care that much about hurting other human beings...
Eh, well then you don't care that much about hurting other human beings...
I'm realistic, too. Of course it's bad that Nike forces kids to work in sweatshops...but do you think they care if some idealistic Americans band together to boycott?

I'm not stupid enough to try to change the world. Forgive me for trying to think on a smaller scale.

Jom 03-20-2005 10:24 PM

My brain hurts from trying to read this philosophy crap.

Nothing important was ever done by people who never bothered to think large scale. Innovation and change is erected by those who step out of the boundries of society. Nike would care if all Americans banded together, but if they all take your stance and delude themselves into thinking they can't make a difference so there is no reason to bother, then Nike does not care about the few who do step over their bounds, and who actually believe in their cause, rather than throw up a transparent front.

Which is of course selfish, though no one is ever willing to admit it.
