Did anyone recommend The Academy Is... yet? Awesome band.
No, they weren't recommended, but I listen to them quite a bit. They are very good.

That was the other thing, it had to be a band I didn't know yet.

Kevin: No, not at all.

Eh. Oh well. Even if you did rep me, it wouldn't get me out of the negs. :upset:

billiejoe84 10-09-2005 09:43 PM

Did you enjoy Phinius Gage much, Brian? Last time I spoke to you you'd checked out the first few songs and thought they were OK. I'd like to think my recommendations are helping other people's listening!
For those of you who have pondered my soccer-speak, I suggest you quote me now. Behold the skills of Ronaldinho. Also, I have never met anyone other than myself who can do this and not just kick the ball away to the right. It is so much harder than it looks.

And if you will, imagine if you could have a guy who could do this on your team. Yes. I love cliquey university captains, I really do.

I get so pissed that there's no Premeirship games on here..actually there are very few games at all on here. I have satalite and I still don't get any channels that have some good premeirship games on... :upset:

Mute Print 10-09-2005 09:44 PM

Yeah, Phinius Gage was cool. They weren't what I expected, but that might have been a good thing.

I remember awhile ago when I mentioned Between Home And Serenity you said you had never heard them. Would you like me to send you something, or did you all ready check them out?

Well, it's kinda the same here with US sports. I do enjoy watching hockey, baseball and basketball from time to time, but we get shown about two games a week most of the time. It sucks a bit. Back in the day I would happily watch any hockey games that got shown, whatever day, and they were always live so it would be starting at about midnight, but I only cared about watching the Avs so most of the time I'd be just sitting there watching for the sake of it.

Might I ask, what did you expect?

Tjebby 10-09-2005 09:56 PM

Wow, I just realized how good about four songs were off Sing The Sorrow. Also, how good Say It Like You Mean It is.

/orgasms.

Well, the last British pop-punk band I downloaded anything from was My Awesome Compilation, and I wasn't really into the vocals. For some reason I was expecting a similar sound, but I'm not actually sure why.

Mike: Say It Like You Mean It is possibly my favorite pop-punk album.

Surtr 10-09-2005 09:57 PM

I've got this dude from Scotland that just moved here that I know and he's always lookin for games on tv, he went to a pub the other day and spent most of his time there just watchin a game...he's been here for a week.

Fish 10-09-2005 09:58 PM

Can't say I know MAC, although I have heard decent reviews of them. Maybe one for me to check out sometime soon.

Everyone else should have a listen to Phinius Gage too. I have done my best to make it easy for you all... Yeah.

Woo, back from band.

PDWAB 10-09-2005 11:56 PM

For a band who only plays Ramones covers you guys sure practice a lot.

We have a show in a week, and a 30 min set to nail. This was our second practice...

PDWAB 10-10-2005 12:04 AM

Yeah, but Ramones covers!

Permanent Solution 10-10-2005 12:06 AM

There's other stuff in there too. To be honest I'm hearing most of the songs for the first time and nailing them by the end of the night though. :-x

We're playing a few others too though, Sex Pistols, The Explosion
