Chilly? I'm stuck in two feet of snow, and it's still coming.
Whenever I'm in snow.
I tend to go inside.

Little Android Man 12-20-2006 08:31 PM

are you kidding, snow is the shizz!

Electric Requiem 12-20-2006 08:37 PM

hmm I hope I can go skiing somewhere further from town on the weekend, because the big resorts are gonna be packed

Little Android Man 12-20-2006 08:40 PM

i used to ski, but a friend got me into snowboarding, and i was good at it from the get go, since im a surfer, so i switched to snowbaording.

which reminds, i really have to set a date for me and my friend to go to the mountains soon...

Brokensticks 12-20-2006 08:43 PM

I am a really good wakeboarder but I can't snowboard very well at all. I wish I could though.

Electric Requiem 12-20-2006 08:47 PM

Wakeboarding is wicked, my friends family has a place on the shushwap (sp?) and I go sometimes. His brother is wicked, he can do backflips and 540s and ****.

TheBigMachine 12-20-2006 08:47 PM

Wakeboarding = insane
Luvvit.

Little Android Man 12-20-2006 08:47 PM

wakeboarding is hard as ****. the first time i tried it, 8 tries, and i couldnt even get up...

i stick to surfing.

TheBigMachine 12-20-2006 08:49 PM

I dont have the one necessity of surfing.
I stick to skating.

Little Android Man 12-20-2006 08:50 PM

what would that one necessity be, if i might ask??

-water?
-board?
-coordination?
-All of the above?

Win A Rabbit 12-20-2006 08:56 PM

So at work, one of the kids wanted me to help him make a tshirt.

I assumed this meant I'd get him a stencil, show him how to cut it out, show him how to paint, etc.

So I told him I'd help him make a shirt.

Now today I find out he wants a 5 layered stencil with different colors, and he wants me to modify it a bunch too. Plus his mom won't let him use a utility knife, and I can't exactly bring an iron and ironing board into work with me.

So me helping him make a simple shirt turned into me basically doing the work of 5 shirts by myself. And he wants me to bring it all in tomorrow. 5 stencils, an ironing board, iron, 5 different paints, rollers, trays, etc. (I walk to work)

I tried to explain it multiple times to him but he didn't really get it. :(

Little Android Man 12-20-2006 08:58 PM

where exactly do you work?

Brokensticks 12-20-2006 08:58 PM

Yah wakeboarding is killer, I have pretty good control and can ride switch and stuff and pull off a couple grabs but no 360's or anything yet. I can jump the wake easily though and land flat on the other side.

Worst thats happened is I hurt my nuts a couple times.

Maggot Dream 12-20-2006 08:58 PM
Whenever I'm in snow.

Not if you have to shovel it so that your family can get inside too.

Little Android Man 12-20-2006 09:02 PM

trying to get up, i hurt my nuts a lot, because the water was being pushed into my balls, and thats why i just gave up trying...

Woo 400 =) :chug:

Brokensticks 12-20-2006 09:03 PM

haha yah but once you get the hang of it you are like " wow this is easy how the hell didn't I do it before! "

Win A Rabbit 12-20-2006 09:04 PM
where exactly do you work?
Little Android Man 12-20-2006 09:08 PM

Brokensticks 12-20-2006 09:12 PM

I love water.

TheBigMachine 12-20-2006 09:13 PM

I live in a desert.
But lucky this desert has some concrete and rails and stuff so yeah, skating is my thing.
But unluck my board got stolen

Brokensticks 12-20-2006 09:14 PM

Another thing that's fun is making your french teacher mad by asking her every class if you can watch Finding Nemo.

Maggot Dream 12-20-2006 09:16 PM
Another thing that's fun is making your french teacher mad by asking her every class if you can watch Finding Nemo.
Wow, my French class does that exact same thing. It actually worked once, too.

TheBigMachine 12-20-2006 09:18 PM

Finding Nemo is such a good movie.

Brokensticks 12-20-2006 09:18 PM

Are you kidding! My teacher just gets mad.

She said theres nothing educational.

I said i beg to differ it teaches you that if theres a barricuda (sp?) then swim fast because they will kill you.

Edit - and yes, a classic.

TheBigMachine 12-20-2006 09:20 PM

I wanna see Happy Feet now. That'll be good.

Brokensticks 12-20-2006 09:24 PM

Yah it looks pretty good. Although it can't live up to Finding Nemo.

TheBigMachine 12-20-2006 09:27 PM

Yeah, that's pretty true.

Other film Im also dying to see is 007. But I gotta see it by the 6th of Jan, 07.

krazydrummer121 12-20-2006 09:46 PM

woo hoo i got some books for christmas! they are New Breed II, 4- way coordination, Advanced techniques for the modern dummer, and syncopation! yesss haha.

what do you guys recommend doing first, such as doing one of those to help me go in to, say for example- new breed II :P

The Ska Man 12-20-2006 09:50 PM

All that talk about wakeboarding..That's weird. My friend(a pastor at my church, too) gave a really good teaching tonight, and an example he put involved a wakeboarding trip he took with the family. It was the best teaching I've heard, like, ever, though. All about having a Christ-like mind. And unity, but without uniformity. It was amazing.

Brokensticks 12-20-2006 09:51 PM

I say you're going to be busy!!!

How do you know you got all that already? It's not x-mas yet! I hate when people give presents before.

Thats kinda cool man, I'm not religious at all really. But it's cool that you could have that connection.

krazydrummer121 12-20-2006 09:54 PM

im going to be out of town friday till new years, so my parents let me open it up since im not going to have the set with me :( but yeah, these should last me...forever eh? lol

Brokensticks 12-20-2006 09:56 PM

Sweet man, Im going to Mexico on the 30th ! So I miss being home with all my friends for New Years :(

Win A Rabbit 12-20-2006 09:57 PM

Deepak Chopra was on the Colbert Report last night. I'd heard his name a bunch of times, but never really looked into him. I thought he was real interesting. I think I'll pick up one of his books sometime soon. Seemed like a cool guy.

THE DECEMBERISTS ARE ON THE COLBERT REPORT TONIGHT!!! WELL, THE GUITARIST IS!!! IT'S HIM VS. STEPHEN IN A GUITAR SOLO SHOWDOWN!!! I'M SO EXCITED, SO I'M TYPING IN CAPS!!! AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

ofDooM 12-20-2006 09:58 PM
