Valhall 12-20-2007 09:47 PM

Horrible album.

Their earlier stuff is good.

DJTeeLay 12-20-2007 10:48 PM

BOAT. RUDDER. STRANGE. MOUNTAIN.

That was must be said every time Trvium is brought up.
They are terrible.

Gonads 12-20-2007 10:49 PM

lol

Valhall 12-21-2007 01:22 AM

I remember that. That was funny as hell.
7A7P are pretty good. I enjoy a lot of their riffs and some of their breakdowns are pretty awesome.
The vocals on Jhazmyne's Lullaby are a bit bogus, the spoken parts anyhow. I like the vocal delivery on Until The Day Bleeds And The Shadows Flee a lot more.... I just wish the EP had as good of production.

i am the robots 12-21-2007 03:17 AM

KNUT's pretty incredible.

Dimmu Burger 12-21-2007 08:15 AM
to be honest, they remind me of old Hopesfall. Have you heard Hopesfall first full-length? check it out. I'm not a big fan, but maybe you would like it
Hopesfall is the shiznit. They are still hopesfall until next year when they record their new album with a new name, since the singer is the only one left now.

The Frailty Of Words is good older heavier stuff but The Satellite Years is my favorite. The newer stuff, the last two albums, were a huge change, but I still like them.

encmetalhead 12-21-2007 09:27 AM

EP is awesome.....

RetiredAt21 12-21-2007 02:57 PM

Does anyone like Deadguy?

NemesisDivina 12-21-2007 03:22 PM

 My brother just ordered a Deadguy shirt.

RetiredAt21 12-21-2007 04:15 PM

Nice. I want a Deadguy shirt.

Valhall 12-21-2007 08:55 PM

Bloodlined Calligraphy slays.

illpressureurhinges1 12-21-2007 09:03 PM
Bloodlined Calligraphy slays.
Theyre pretty good. The vocals are the only turn off for me.

Valhall 12-21-2007 09:28 PM

Vocals are the main attraction for me. She's got skills.

illpressureurhinges1 12-21-2007 09:31 PM

For all I know, she could be great with the style of singing that she does, but the style just doesn't work for me. I'm glad you like it though. I think they are all pretty good musicians, I just don't care for the style of vocals. And it's not because it's a girl either.
Vocals are the main attraction for me. She's got skills.
bloodlined calligraphy hasn't always had a girl vocalist have they? and they are more hardcore... i found them laughable since they began a song with "this song goes out to my friends and my family, cause my friends have my back" in a highpitched attempted tough guy voice.

Tyler 12-21-2007 11:44 PM

Worst intro to a song I've ever heard was this local band, Dead and Divine. It starts with some girly-dude being like "GOOD MORNING ANGEL" and then the singer pukescreams "WAAAAAAAAAAKE UPPPPPPPPPPPP".

Lololol.

sounds like the Ephirimel Disparity

I think they may have started with a guy, but the last, at least, 2 have been females. I haven't heard the new chick, Ellen, though. Any body heard her? I though Ally was ok, but kinda one dimentional. The chick from Light This City is far superior.

botb 12-22-2007 11:39 AM

This thread needs more of parkway drive's debut. :)

i am the robots 12-22-2007 11:42 AM

Oh please god no. Worst vocal delivery ever.

Valhall 12-22-2007 11:44 AM

Most generic metalcore award goes to that band.

i am the robots 12-22-2007 11:45 AM

They're a bit too shitty at songwriting to sound generic.

Valhall 12-22-2007 11:49 AM

Rofl.

I think the guy that used to sing for It Dies Today and the band themselves get those titles.

i am the robots 12-22-2007 01:18 PM

I love the vocals on The Caitiff Choir, but that album really does win the most generic metalcore album award.

Dimmu Burger 12-22-2007 01:55 PM
I love the vocals on The Caitiff Choir
I do as well, but he couldn't do them live. His voice was horrible. I think that is why they kicked him out.

i am the robots 12-22-2007 02:05 PM

His voice was completely trashed after a while, and he looked like a total queer.

Dimmu Burger 12-22-2007 02:08 PM
His voice was completely trashed after a while, and he looked like a total queer.
yeah he decided he wanted to be Atreyu and got makeup, piercings and a new haircut. Super fruity.

i am the robots 12-22-2007 02:09 PM

Cut off button up shirts.

Sirens was seriously the gayest CD I have ever heard.

Valhall 12-22-2007 02:10 PM

Makeup and piercings aren't bad.

Haircut and cut off button up shirts are unspeakable, however..

i am the robots 12-22-2007 02:12 PM

Make-up and too many piercings is pretty gay, I'm not gonna lie.

I'm listening to Dead To Fall.

Dimmu Burger 12-22-2007 02:13 PM
Make-up and too many piercings is pretty gay, I'm not gonna lie.

Crap yeah for Dead To Fall, especially Phoenix Throne.

Valhall 12-22-2007 02:14 PM

If you think makeup and piercings are gay, then you're talking about 85 % of the metal community.

It's when it's used in the new Atreyu or Papa Roach Getting Away with Murder sense that it's gay.

Dimmu Burger 12-22-2007 02:14 PM
It's when it's used in the new Atreyu or Papa Roach Getting Away with Murder sense that it's gay.
yeah that is prettymuch what we mean.

i am the robots 12-22-2007 02:15 PM

I'm saying excessive facial piercings as seen on nu-metal faggots who want to be noticed are really gay.

And make-up on a dude is gay as fuck.

Valhall 12-22-2007 02:15 PM

Okay.

@HBP

Mappy (about the makeup): Um, ok. My point still stands. You're entitled to your opinion though.

Sethcanes 12-22-2007 02:16 PM

Blood has been shed.. I know they're not technically metalcore, but they've gt some metalcore parts.

i am the robots 12-22-2007 02:16 PM

EVERYTHING I TOUCH FALLS TO PIECES

i am the robots 12-22-2007 02:17 PM

Blood Has Been Shed is metalcore, wtf are you talking about? Used to love that band, they're still pretty cool to listen to now and then.
