Radiohead and Interpol.

Bukowski 07-14-2005 04:31 PM

Flaming Lips - Clouds Taste Metallic
QOTSA - Songs for the Dead
Pavement - Terror Twilight

3 kickass albums.

fingis 07-14-2005 06:00 PM

broken social scene - lovers spit
bright eyes - false advertising
flaming lips - it's summertime
the promise ring - nothing feels good

great songs!

asymm 07-14-2005 08:57 PM

Four Tet - Everything Ecstatic

Next I'm moving on towards
Dungen - Ta Det Lugnt

Just listening to some Intonation stuff... only a couple days away. Very much excited. I'm also looking forward to the record sale going on there, hoping to pick up a few things that I could never find here at home. We'll see how it goes.

Little Man being Erased 07-14-2005 09:53 PM

The Beatles - Abbey Road

AK47 07-14-2005 10:54 PM

Nice

The Sermon - Volume

Parfait 07-14-2005 10:56 PM

Dinosaur Jr still, but the Bug album, this time.

Parfait 07-14-2005 11:05 PM

Hey Nacho, here's The Pounding's self-titled album uploaded on YSI:

This new song is awesome. Looks like Coheed and Cambria have beaten Sum 41 in the race for a pop-punk band to become metal.

Well, hopefully. The new album probably also has their poppiest song to date, just like the last one had The Crowing and Favor House Atlantic on the same CD!

Tangy zizzle 07-15-2005 12:03 AM

Roxy Music
Patti Smith
Mudhoney

asymm 07-15-2005 12:15 AM

Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - I See A Darkness
An album that I truly love. One that I hold dearest.

Tangy zizzle 07-15-2005 12:57 AM

Hell yes asymm, hell yes.

br3ad_man 07-15-2005 06:14 AM

i like birds 07-15-2005 07:03 AM

Howl Howl Gaff Gaff - Shout Out Louds

an excellent album :thumb:

Tomahawk 07-15-2005 09:43 AM

A lot of Brainiac today. Plus some Jane's Addiction.

Bukowski 07-15-2005 10:12 AM

Morphine. It's excellent stuff (the band of course, not the drug).

el doctor 07-15-2005 10:55 AM

XM's "Music Lab" station just got even cooler because they were playing Morphine the other day.

I've been away, so all the albums I've been digging lately are some of my all-time favorite go-to-sleep albums.

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
Slowdive - Souvlaki
Nick Drake - Pink Moon
Air - Moon Safari
Chameleons UK - Strange Times
Great album.

I'm feeling under the weather today so it's a Jesus Lizard day.

Journey

Parfait 07-15-2005 03:08 PM

I'm still digging through the 35 new albums I got from my buddy through the mail. He has yet to let me down through the first 5 or 6 I've listened to so far. Right now I'm digging into:

7 Seconds - Walk Together, Rock Together

Good hardcore punk, with a silly cover of "99 Red Balloons."

asymm 07-15-2005 03:09 PM

The Microphones - Mt. Eerie

Parfait 07-15-2005 03:29 PM

On second thought, 7 Seconds is just sort of a bad Minor Threat.

Happymeal 07-15-2005 03:35 PM
On second thought, 7 Seconds is just sort of a bad Minor Threat.
Out of curiosity, are you familiar with Ken Nordine?

Parfait 07-15-2005 03:35 PM

Nope.

Broken Bow 07-15-2005 03:42 PM
Morphine is one of the greatest bands ever.
Yeah, pretty much.

Iai 07-15-2005 04:12 PM

Sufjan Stevens - Illinois (4/5, might become a 4.5 with time)
The Decemberists - Picaresque (4.5/5)

Plus more Pixies.

Smackers 07-15-2005 04:49 PM

The Tuna Helpers

fingis 07-15-2005 06:06 PM

No way!!!!!

Smackers 07-15-2005 07:11 PM
No way!!!!!
Is that a band or is it in reply to The Tuna Helpers? Or are you being sarcastic? Make your statements clear man!

Anxious 07-15-2005 07:15 PM

Pere Ubu-Dub Houseing

Tangy zizzle 07-15-2005 07:18 PM

Nice. 'tis a top disc. Do you like/know of Rocket from the Tombs?

Today:

The Stooges - Metallica K.O
Woven Hand - Blush Music (this is good shizz)
The Drones

br3ad_man 07-15-2005 07:22 PM

Architecture In Helsinki is something I'm enjoying this morning. Trying to dig "Illinois" still, but so far the only memorable song is the first one (which is awesome by the way).

Dog 07-15-2005 07:23 PM

Richard Hell & the Voidoids - Blank Generation
The Modern Lovers - The Modern Lovers
Neu! - Neu!
And a little bit of Tom Waits.
"Illinois"
I tried, but I just can't get into this.

Happymeal 07-15-2005 07:29 PM
Woven Hand - Blush Music (this is good shizz)
Better than Consider the Birds?

Bought In on the Kill Taker awhile ago, so I'm digging that+

The Thermals
Gang Starr
Nebula

Tangy zizzle 07-15-2005 07:33 PM

Yes, it is better.

Now go to bed.
