I have several live videos including Deadnight Warrior, Chokehold, Hate Me, and others. Many people aorund here have them for various reasons.

Hello everyone, I was just wondering something possibly stupid... I have been playing for about three and a half years. I am just learning to sweep pick, and my greatest accomplishment on that is doing that fast arpeggio Alexi does in his "Reap and Roll" lick video for example 20. Does anyone here feel I should just give up? I see on this site people say they can solo like that within their first year of playing, and I have never seen many players in front of me, so I just want to know basicly whether or not I suck.

Lemme tell you something Flubby, the people here are GUITAR NERDS. They devote their life to playing guitar, and do nothing else but play 10 hours a day. If you did that for a year you'd be that good too. Never get discouraged by them, I almost did once, but I just practiced more and now I'm pretty good. Also for 3 years thats not bad at all. Just keep playing and practicing and download guitar pro if you don't have it.

Kurt, have you heard anything else besides that album? That album sounds signifigantly different from the previous 3. Get Follow the Reaper or Hatebreeder, and if you like HCDR better than either of those get the new one when it comes out.

-Use distortion
-Do anything else that will kill vocal ability

Well, I don't know much. I did download the demo for Guitar Pro 4. There are just so many false tabs. For example, there are NO correct tabs for "Angels Don't Kill" (By COB of course) because everyone believes the guitars for it are tuned down only one step, but no one realizes that it is also in droped D while tuned down one step (Same with Sixpounder). I read up on Alexi too much... I just know stuff...

Yeah it's in drop C. Try powertab if all else fails, or correct tabs yourself, I do it a lot. I think about 95% of the tabs on there are 95% correct which isn't too bad, that just happens to be one that isnt.

he doesn't use distortion though. only a little bit on Needled 24/7. Using dist on vocals is no good (well if it's a one time thingy ..fine! but not always). bah I don't like singing with distortion. it doesn't sound any good and it feels faked and it's not funny. but ye smoking is good. especially black devils vanilla cos they're black and it looks oooh soo metal :lol: and they smell vanilla so if you have friends who hate smoke they won't bother anymore :wave:
