I'm leaving for Boston on Vacation in a few hours for a 10 hour car ride...ugh

If you are saying that he doesn't need ear plugs then you are mistaken. Many drummers have ended up with a 'ringing' noise constantly hearing it due to not wearing ear plugs while playing. |
I have been playing drums for a little over a year and I cope with the noise fine. The sound level sort of dies down after a while so that it doesn't seem as loud to you...just other people

Hmm... i would still be careful. You should get earplugs even if they don't sound loud to you anymore. Better to be safe than sorry |
I like the natural feel of the sound, when you use earplugs it tweaks the noise and doesn't sound...pure. Still, better safe then sorry

It's called getting used to the noise
|
Uh, yeah, I'm pretty sure you're going partially deaf.
|
I just am getting used to how loud it is and I'm coping with it
|
My guitar still sounds as loud as it did the day I started playing. I think you are going deaf.

Yeah, even now when i turn up my bass as loud as it can go it still makes me jump a bit. My room is really small and the walls shake too. Really freaky when i stick on the Ultrabass and the house starts to vibrate |
