That's all he did when I went to one of his clinics, except he showed off for over 2 hours.
Really? I was nervous he was gonna do that. But he broke down A TON of exercies when I saw him. He also printed out 3 pages of exercises for each person to take home.

White 08-20-2006 02:46 PM

ya so Im looking into multi effects pads like what Neil Peart uses (with the 27 squares lol, but not that intense) but I'm not sure what they are called, any help anyone?

maniac0796 08-20-2006 03:04 PM

Samplers?

fishbulb 08-20-2006 03:06 PM

I'm not aware of him using any electric pads other than the Roland ones in his e-kit behind him, and that tiny dauz pad he has in between snare + hihat.

Look into Mandala pads though, they're the ones that Danny Carey is using right now, and they're awesome, although, more useful for MIDI sounds, rather than triggering samples.
If all you want to do is trigger samples, get a cheap roland e-drum, or get an old drum, put a mesh head on it, and trigger it, then hook it up to whatever you use for sampling.

Win A Rabbit 08-20-2006 03:45 PM

God, last night was intense. We were just hanging out at my friend's house, then we called up a couple friends. We drove over and met them at one of their houses. We realized there was 13 of us, and 4 vehicles. Somehow, we just talked about racing through the city. So we picked a spot to go (porn store of course), half an hour away, and then "bam". Everyone's off. We've all got techno playing as loud as possible, racing down the fairly empty city streets at midnight. We won on the way there (of course), then lost by 5 seconds on the way back. Then we went to a different house to watch the porn, and we would have won, but we missed the turn (only one of us in our vehicle had been to the person's house once before, so we were pretty much just looking for a small sign on the side of the road that had their last name on it).

All in all, very fun night.

maniac0796 08-20-2006 03:47 PM

Sounds like fun. We went round the estate at 1:00 with drum and bass/techno blasting out full volume in my sisters boyfriends car... But not as much fun as racing...

Who thinks moving from a Tama rockstar to a Premier artist series is worth it?

Futuro 08-20-2006 04:10 PM

I just broke my toe.

Does anyone happen to know the ride that Phil Selway uses on OK Computer or any of the CDs after (I think it's the same, but if not, particularly Hail to the Thief). He has the coolest sounding set ever.

Janeway 08-20-2006 05:18 PM
