also do you come from a wealthy family?
5 years 2 months. Runs really well actually, better than most of my friends' windows laptops that they got at the beginning of the school year. Main advantages are better battery life (I can't go to school without my charger which kinda sucks) and better specs, won't burn me or overheat and shut down when I do things that aren't that intensive for the CPU. yeah my family is decently wealthy, I'd pay for it though. I'm looking at a refurbished HP Envy 14. http://cgi.ebay.ca/HP-ENVY-14-14-5-NOTEBOOK-PC-WQ785UA-LED-TURBO-6GB-RAM-/130492739131?pt=Laptops_Nov05&hash=item1e61f92e3b#ht_5050wt_811 really nice but I don't need the power so it would just be a comfort upgrade and I don't think that the money would be well spent. I don't use my laptop for anything power intensive, I have a tower for that |
but thats not an apple product

what do you guys (who record music) use to record? I've been thinking about recording music a lot lately, and I've always wanted to, but have been a little discouraged on how to start. Computer? 4/8-track? I'm not sure and don't really know anything about home recording.
if anyone has some tips or can give me a good tutorial with either and explanation or websites that'd be awesome |

cool, thanks. and nah, nothing technical, just something that will allow me to record easily without much complication.
what exactly do i need for computer recording, though? i'd only be utilizing vocals, guitar, and maybe drums |
if you want extremely simple just use audacity instead of reaper
you'll need an audio interface to record, they're like $100 if you want lo-fi just use a mic instead of an interface, I used my webcam mic to record drifting icon |
wtf steve just deleted my comment of fb it wasn't offensive at all
