^ So am I, and a wireless network :smoke:.

Rollo47 09-11-2004 03:19 AM

If I had some sort of high-speed internet, I'd network my PC and laptop, but there's really no point on 56k.

[QUOTE=Wintermute]How do you mix up the throat the stomach?

The news gets better and better!

*Drinks an ale in celebration*[/QUOTE]
Yeah, the American healthcare system... Great isn't it! :thumb: Good news that it is only stomach cancer. The operation is less severe and much easier and treatments also. Best of luck for that and the moving house thing. I'm moving away shortly, I'm going back to uni (Couldn't come a day too soon, I feel miserable at home). Difference is, next Summer (When I graduate) I may not come back. I want to start a masters degree and although it doesn't start until September, I was talking to my supervisor and she asked me if I wanted to help her write an article over the summer. I can get extended accomodation as it's academic. At the end of the summer, I start my masters degree which goes on for the whole year. I wont be spending much time at home after this year :)

good luck with the songwriting career Hex. I was contacted a while ago and asked to write some music for a pop group (Chinese whispers. My friend knows me as a decent bassist/guitarist and along the line somewhere it became "Young, multi-talented music producer). I wrote the bass, guitar and piano parts, the girl from the group wanted to do the drums (Which is just as well, I don't do drums!) and recorded a midi version of it but then her group fell apart. Which is a shame because I was promised rights if they got anywhere with the song :(

[QUOTE=peeted]do u guys in america have chippys?[/QUOTE]
Actually, believe it or not they do. The only ones I know of though are fairly upper class establishments opened up by Britain's very own Michael Caine. They even wrap the chips up in proper news paper, none of this rubbish we have now.

Theres something that's just came out over here called a "Stonner" supper. It's a sausage wrapped in kebab meat and battered. Theres a limit of only one per customer per week because they're so fatty. *shudders*

Scottish Chip Shops, seriously we'll put anything in batter - battered mars bars, snickers, pizza. No wonder we're such an unhealthy country.

Good old America would never limit you fat intake. Thats why I'm glad to live here, Home of the Brave and obese people.

madthumbs 09-11-2004 08:13 AM

charcoal chicken stores are the new flavour of the month! gotta love them, [colour=white]F[/color]UCK the Chippy's!

ShelBel 09-11-2004 08:17 AM

Holy crap did this thread take off since yesterday afternoon...

Morning all! I ended up going out last night and seeing Ded Walleye play at the Ox. Awesome band. Drank more than I intended and stayed out later than was planned. Got 2 1/2 hours of sleep and here I am at work. :/

*yawns*

*slurps coffee*

*wanders off to print reports and put away the backup tapes from last night*

If anyone cares, you can read of the evening's exploits in my Live Journal: [url]www.livejournal.com/users/shelbel_d2[/url]

:D

Jim Hull 09-11-2004 08:21 AM

Ha, I think thats a sign your getting old shel. When you can't handle a night out

ShelBel 09-11-2004 08:23 AM

I am perfectly willing to accept the fact that I am 32. I'm making up for the lack of misspent youth in my mid-life mini-crisis. My poor hubby... Its his fault, he's the one who kept buying me drinks. ;) And I handled it quite well, actually; I'm not hungover, just a little sleepy, which is easily cured by more coffee!

Growing old is inevitable; growing UP is optional! :P

Jim Hull 09-11-2004 08:47 AM

I heard alcohol was the cure to a mid life crisis! Have you brought a merc yet or is that just men?

Jim Hull 09-11-2004 08:52 AM

Oh and btw, anyone want to do the next FA? One really needs to be done.

Foxfire 09-11-2004 09:17 AM

Sup all.

Just got back from CCD, urgh.

Jim Hull 09-11-2004 09:18 AM

CCD?

ShelBel 09-11-2004 09:20 AM

Must be just the guys, ! For my mid life crisis, I think I'm gonna buy.... a five string Cirrus. And the gear to go with it. :D

And Fox- what's CCD?

e p 09-11-2004 09:21 AM

Community College of Dupage

thats my guess

And if no one minds, I would like to do the next FA.

Though not much info is one his early life/birth, plus I've never done one before. So go easy on me.

Foxfire 09-11-2004 09:24 AM

CCD.

Catholic somethingorother Development I'm guessing.

I'm not even sure what the hell it is. Basically, I'm learning about some other people's beliefs.

I get confirmed this year and never have to go back. :D

e p 09-11-2004 09:30 AM

Im up for the next FA but i also have a question. How do you get pictures directly on the screen. All I know how to do is get the link up, not the image directly. Help?

plus if I do do the FA then it will help a lot.

Jamie 09-11-2004 09:32 AM

^^^ coo' sounds... interesting?

I just watched dogeball:a true underdog story.

I thought it was pretty good!

I just got adsl the other day so im going to be downloading bass day '98 :D

This thread gets annoying, i keep losing track of it. Like ill be online and it will be about page 5 then when i come back on its like page 12

Jamie 09-11-2004 09:34 AM

ep: you do [*img] then the address of the pic, it should usually end with .jpg etc.[/img*]

(remove the stars though)

I think you need to use IMG (Image) code for that, but it may be disabled these days after the porn spam we got a while back. Also, the User CP has an option to disable IMG tags when you view the forum, so those people see the link to the picture and have to click it to view it.

:)

Foxfire 09-11-2004 09:50 AM

Hmm.

I just played my Curbow and it doesn't feel like my bass anymore.

I have a feeling that it's because I've gotten used to the medium lights on my Conklin. :p

What's a good brand for Medium Lights?

Jim Hull 09-11-2004 10:04 AM

ep if you want to do the FA post in the current FA thread so it can be all official.
