Could someone explain to me what 'For the Sake of Revenge' is by Sonata Arctica and what are all the different versions?

I know it has a dvd (the main reason I want to buy it) and a cd but what is the cd? From the song names it looks like it doesn't have any new songs, is it a greatest hits?

Also I was in HMV today and I saw it in a cd case with the cd and dvd but I go online and I see lots of different versions like Cd, Dvd, Dvd + Cd, Cd + Dvd. Are all of these the same? I want the version with cd and dvd so don't want to order a version and have just the cd turn up.

Sorry if there's a Sonata Arctica official thread and I didn't post in it, it's just the site is moving so slowly I couldn't get past the first page.

It's a live album. I only have the CD, but I'm fairly certain the DVD in any combination will be the same - the concert in full.

Edit - Edguy, Stratovarius, Nocturnal Rites, Rage, Pyramaze, Ensiferum, Turisas, Atheist, and Bal-Sagoth on Friday. :D :) :D

I have Jag Panzer's Ample Destruction, and I saw on Metal Archives that it's their debut album, and that they have many more albums after that. Is there a really big change in style from the first album on ?

I am also interested in this.

Ample Destruction is probably my favourite Power Metal album.

I wonder if it's like BG where there's a huge difference from the first 2 or 3 albums, to the last 3.

Yeah, I heard about this weeks ago on another forum but the name was just unveiled today. I love they gave. To paraphrase: "The power of the dragonflame will burn stronger than ever".

Yeah, I just checked on metal-archives. The of fire was added under Rhapsody.

I think it fits perfectly. Rhapsody just isn't grandiose enough. Now, Rhapsody OF FIRE, that's epic.

I'll still call them Rhapsody, so it doesn't matter.

Rhapsody alone as a logo looked better though :p

I only have Symphony of Enchanted Lands on my computer, and 2 other songs. Rain of a Thousand Flames and Holy Thunderforce. I prefer those 2 to the album I have I think :-/

You could just download a discography torrent and listen to all of them, then pick and choose your own favourites, but I'd recommend Symphony of Enchanted Lands as well as Legendary Tales as a start for albums.

The legal issues that prompted the name change were probably from those wankers at RealPlayer.

Haha I remember turning on the tv a while ago and just seeing a commercial with the word RHAPSODY all over it.. It was an epic moment in television even if it wasn't actually about them
