Delicious. For me... Elliott Smith, Between The Buried And Me and Circle Takes The Square today. |
Clutch
The Bees Isis The Olivia Tremor Control |
Trying to dig "Illinois".
I still haven't heard that album :upset: Today: Oasis - Only Hits Andrew Morgan - Misadventures In Radiology The Cranberries - Everyone Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? |
I've been looking for it too, can't find it. I just have a downloaded copy for the moment.
Dang, I thought you were gonna point me in the right direction. Oh well.
In other news, I rediscovered why Radiohead is my favourite band and Kid A is my favourite album. Also dug: The Cure - Disintegration Blackalicious - Blazing Arrow |
Hot Water Music
The Kills Public Enemy Blossom Toes |
The Violent Femmes - The Violent Femmes (4/5)
Interesting record. The lyrics are really immature and selfish, but it's incredible how many of them I really relate to. Plus, it really reminds me of The Doors. But better. Kaiser Cheifs - Employment (3/5) Great singles, decidedly average album. R Kelly - Trapped In The Closet (5/5) Easily one of the most ludicrous, hilarious things ever conceived. I nearly wet myself when one of the parts finished with '....and it was a man!' Utter, utter genius. But damnit, we need a Part 6 where Kelly shoots the policeman!!! I also dug my Tori Amos collection on random after hearing her new single on the TV (Sweet The Sting). It sounds nothing like the other stuff I have by Tori, but damn, it's good. (I think I'm fast becoming a fanboy here.) |
A guy I know who has moved on to a college about 2 hours away sent me some data CDs of music, and they arrived today. About forty new albums to wade through...

I can't ever remember what I wanted now. |

Sounds like fun, or boredom, depending. |
The tagging and album art storing has been hell so far. But I'm anal about that sort of thing.
|
Yeah, so am I. Luckily, I don't have all that much music stored on my computer.
|
I'm liking this Liars album that he sent, They Threw Us All In A Trench And Stuck A Monument On Top. Should I not be?
|
I dunno. I can't stand them because I saw them live once. One of the worst live bands I've ever seen. I've never heard an album.
|
Same, I've never heard an album of theirs but I hated them live.
|
I sort of had the sneaking suspicion that they were looked down upon on this forum. Oh well, they're neat.
|
Each to his own, I guess.

Oh well, they're neat.
Is your avatar the cover for the Vivaldi's Vespers recording that was released earlier this year (or late last year, I forget)? Yeah, I'm basing that just on the presence of the word Vespers. |
It's the cover to the Robert Shaw Festival Singers doing Rachmaninoff's Vespers, Op. 37.
|
Listened to You're Living All Over Me by Dinosaur Jr, which is another one of the albums that came in the mail. The only other DJ experience I had was Where You Been, and this utterly blows that one (which I've never liked much, bar the opening track) away entirely.
|
Liars are cool. Overrated, but very cool nonetheless.
|
Tortoise and Red Sparowes. Today totally post-rocked.
|
Camera Obscura, M83 and Fiery Furnaces E.P.
|
M83 - Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts
|
AK47 now niggah stop that!
|
Comets on Fire - Blue Cathedral
 |
Nice.
Clinic - Winchester Cathedral :p |
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Abbatoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus
|
Today i was digging :
Fight Club OST Explosions in the Sky Team Sleep RATM Interpol nice. :p |

Well it looks like a fairytale. I'm listening to Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, and really digging it for the first time. Hot Snakes fans/anyone, really: are Earthless any good? |
This morning, Dredg - Catch Without Arms and Elliott Smith - A Basement...... (both 4/5).
|
It's been like:
Brainiac - Bonsai Superstar Morphine - Cure for Pain Drive By Truckers - Southern Rock Opera Bela Fleck & the Flecktones - Live Art The Magic Numbers (gave their album another shot, enjoyed it quite a bit more than I did before) |
A local band (well, local to a town a few hours away from here) from the mid to late 90s called The Pounding. They sort of sound like Hot Snakes meets Big Black.
|
The Fall - Totale's Turns (It's Now or Never)
|
Antony & The Johnsons - I Am A Bird Now
Pixies - Bossanova (I think I may like this even more than Doolittle) Sam Cooke - Portrait of A Legend And right now? Trapped In The mo'fuckin' Closet. Seriously cannot get enough of this. |
Nation of U are soooooo good. Listening to everything they got 'cept the EP.
|
Seeing them all in a row is an experience to say the least. I'm forcing my mum to watch them with me tonight. :D
|
I want mp3s please.
I'm going to attempt to upload their album to YouSendit. I'll edit the link into this post if it succeeds. |
Went to watch a local band last night. In between playing all their electro-pop stuff, they busted out a **** near perfect rendition of The Only Moment We Were Alone, so today has been an EitS day.
|
I'm digging Sigur Rós and Björk today.
