i always considered ritual ambient just an unofficial offshoot of dark ambient that had more tribal shit and chants

i use audacity alot. not for recording at all but just for cutting out the part of my recording that i want, looping, and minor editing.

might use it on one of these ambient tracks I have for a dramatic fade to silence over a period of like 2 secs.

Audacity's GVerb effect is grim.
