How can you tell if someones talented from the length of their strap?

exactly, its just pure igronance.

its just stereotyping, typical bass steretypes:

All Rock bassists wear their straps low
All Nu-metal bassists are untalented, paly with picks, and play 5-strings
All punk bassists play with picks and root note
Anybody whoplays with a pick is untalented

None of those are true in all cases, just igonrance

yea, and now the americans in trhe soccer vs football thread is geting me annoyed.

All things said by people who probabloy have no talent at all. The same applies with guitarists, everyone complains that powerchords are stupid to use, but 90% of rock/metal uses them, no matter how little or how much, they stuill use them, yet its said that playing powerchords is a talentless thing to do.

Ignorance is what keeps me out of the instrument forums, unless I really need help
