My friends pretty much listen to crap music and the bigger metalcore acts, so I usually go alone to the smaller shows. Like I'm trying to convince my friend to go with me on Thursday to Embrace Togay/Premonitions of War/Ion Dissonance, but I'll probably be going solo. Same with Sunday for The Warriors and Kids Like Us, because none of my friends listen to straight-up hardcore save for like Terror.
How often do you go to shows??

cbmartinez 11-17-2004 02:11 PM

I know a lot of the scene regulars so I pretty much always know someone at the shows. But now my mom says I need to either get a ride with or give a ride to someone when I go to shows. Because she doesn't want me alone in Trenton. I tell her there are going to be people there that I know but she is stubborn.

I wish I could drive.

Let's Chop Cats! 11-17-2004 02:16 PM

I would go alone, but I always have atleast one friend who wants to go along, so I've never had a problem.

shane italian 11-17-2004 02:24 PM

I get a license and car in less than a month. I will be going to as many shows as my money can get me into.

Let's Chop Cats! 11-17-2004 02:27 PM

I get my license in 27 days. A week before Casey Jones, but 3 days after Shattered Realm.

shane italian 11-17-2004 02:27 PM

I get my license December 3rd.
I get my car before December 3rd.

Let's Chop Cats! 11-17-2004 02:29 PM

Lucky, I get it the 14th. I'll probably get a car like a week before hand. This sucks, I get it after you and your like a year or so younger.

shane italian 11-17-2004 02:33 PM

I think it's because you're Greek.

Let's Chop Cats! 11-17-2004 02:34 PM

Your Italian, it's almost the same thing.

Wow, Refused is amazing.

I really dig Norma Jean too, no matter what people say.

I was in gym class today, and on some cd that was playing in the weight room was New Noise. I was happy.
Your Italian, it's almost the same thing.
Hug? We should come together and take down all other ethnicities.

Agreed.

I got my license a few weeks ago... Manhattan driving laws are pretty different than any other place. Where is that xCJx show? How far is it from city? Are they going to play NYC at all?

Let's Chop Cats! 11-17-2004 03:23 PM

It's in NJ, maybe 40 minutes from the city. I don't know if they have any city dates, check the venues there (CB's, Continental).

I'm listening to Folly. They're pretty good.

BuddyBigsby 11-17-2004 03:35 PM
How often do you go to shows??
Usually at least one a week, sometimes more. Like I think I went to two last week, and I have three this week if you count this Sunday.

young, loud and andrew 11-17-2004 03:40 PM

Next week I'm seeing Hellogoodbye and 3 Inches of Blood--two pretty different shows! I might see Endicott before 3IOB at a different club as well.

BuddyBigsby 11-17-2004 03:42 PM

I was going to see 3 Inches of Blood with Satyricon (Holy \m/) but... and I'm very ashamed of this... I decided to go to Finch/Saosin that night instead.

shane italian 11-17-2004 03:44 PM

No reason to be ashamed. Saosin own.

BuddyBigsby 11-17-2004 03:57 PM

Yeah but I also really like Finch...

you went to see finch.... instead of satyricon....

BuddyBigsby 11-17-2004 04:04 PM

No, I am going to see Finch instead of Satyricon. I'd rather deal with faggy pop-punk/Senses Fail kids than meatheads/Slipknot kids anyway. Plus I like the Finch venue way more.

NewKindofArmy03 11-17-2004 04:11 PM
You should start going to shows with me, even if your like 2 hours away.

How far are you from Jackson, NJ? They occasionaly have a good show there.
I would if I had a way of getting there. My one friend doesn't get a license until sometime this summer, but probably not until august or so. This kid moving here from Texas might be the singer in our band, and he has a car so hopefully he would drive us to places further away.

I've heard of Jackson, but i'm not really sure exactly where it's at. South Jersey has some good shows here and there, next Tuesday is a free show with Paint it black and One Up, but it's a tuesday and doesn't start until 9.

Let's Chop Cats! 11-17-2004 04:19 PM

Yeah, sometimes South NJ has good shows. Couple months ago Merauder played around there.

NewKindofArmy03 11-17-2004 04:21 PM

They played here almost a month ago but it was a 21+ show.
