Yeah they would, unless their fundmental. It's just a holiday anyways

Leprechauns1021 12-16-2006 06:42 PM

chea i think so too.

But ive never met them before, so i cant say for sure. But contrary to popular belief, not all muslims go around screaming and blowing up buildings.

Ive actually come to realize fundamental Christians are much worse than fundamental Muslims*

*-based on my OWN experiences. IM not here to promote one religion over another. No one knows who's right until we're dead.

Janeway 12-16-2006 06:53 PM

I want the Cecil B. Demented soundtrack.

I liked that movie.

Edit: I'm going to watch movies all Christmas break.

But I've only got two downloaded I haven't seen.

Tetsuo the Iron Man and Bubba Ho-Tep
Phil, can you recommend me some awesome rockabilly music?
Johnny Cash
Social Distortion
Horrorpops

Only rockabilly I listen to..But that's only out of sheer laziness to check out what's out there, I loves it!

Carn 12-16-2006 07:22 PM

- well Cash is a bit farout to be considered rockabilly :P

- and the hottest chick I know is a muslim ;P

- if you want rockabilly influenced metal check out volbeat:
www.myspace.com/volbeat

oliv_da_skinmasher 12-16-2006 07:24 PM

Yeah I wouldn't say old JC was rockabilly, kick *** but not rockabilly.

Carn 12-16-2006 07:28 PM

Volbeat ****ing owns. Saw those guys live a few times and they always deliver; one of those bands that are better live than on cd.

oliv_da_skinmasher 12-16-2006 07:30 PM

bands should be better live. 99.99% of bands i've seen have been better live

Carn 12-16-2006 07:45 PM

Hmm, no. I've seen maybe ove 500 bands live and there are band that really have a live thing going instead of playing their songs live.

Janeway 12-16-2006 07:57 PM

I don't like live music.

stevensonmat2 12-16-2006 08:01 PM

I saw DMX once live, he sucked way worse than on his albums. But then I realized it was actually Weezer.

all you do is play with tampons janeway, why would you like live music? >_<

Janeway 12-16-2006 08:24 PM

All I do is play with tampons?

Could have possibly thought of a little better thing to say?

It's not even an insult. Tampons have no correlation to live music.

I'm downloading Pink Flamingo and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and then The Lotus discography and the Melt Banana discography.

FL3P 12-16-2006 08:26 PM
I saw DMX once live, he sucked way worse than on his albums. But then I realized it was actually Weezer.
You lost me.

Seafroggys 12-16-2006 08:26 PM
I don't like live music.
and this is why the music culture has been going downhill.

Janeway 12-16-2006 08:32 PM

Because I don't like live music?

Concerts that cost $50 for shit seats, 90% of the people in the venue are balls drunk, and half the time the bands sound like shit and put on an equally shitty show?

It's not 1972 anymore.

stevensonmat2 12-16-2006 08:34 PM

I was just kidding around janey.

You're going to all the wrong concerts then.

So I've been freaking out about failing my English 101 class, like, I didn't do ANY of the work, and then it was due on finals day for class, but he gave me an extension for midnight that night [class let out at 1:30], and he really didn't believe I'd be able to do it all and neither did I, especially with my internet being a fagtard, but I got it all up at 10:30, but it was still pretty sucky, but I figured I could hopefully pass with a C because that's the lowest grade I could get and still be passing. D doesn't count for college.

And I checked my grade online today.

I got a B.

A semester worth of work compiled into a few measily hours, and I get a B?

I fucking rock.

[/egotrip]

Ugh. I'm eating lamb soup and it has like 8 million peppercorns in it so I have to have a separate little bowl to put them all in. They hurt your mouth for like 5 minutes if you eat them but I have like 2 in every spoonful =/

Jody LeCompte 12-16-2006 09:50 PM

I can enjoy just about any live show.

I saw the Chris Grey country band a few nights ago and they really suprised me.

skidrumbum 12-16-2006 09:56 PM

im cody
im 15 and have been drumming for 7 years bassing for 2 1/2 and guitar for1
i go to the greater hartford academy for the arts in hartford CT. its in the top 10 music high schools in the country and ive been told that its in the top 5. i play mostly punk and rock and stuff. but at school its everything. jazz rudementry african orchestral and brazilian so its all good. the day is about 11 hours of school but its worth it
and yea

Sunshine 12-16-2006 09:59 PM

Hi Cody.

Y'sure about all that?

Janeway 12-16-2006 10:03 PM

I've been to good concerts.

I've seen the Allman brothers several times, the Dead, Lynrd Skynrd, Galactic, Sammy Hagar, Bob Dylan. All of those were great, with the exception of Bob Dylan who sounded like a constricted duck but was still worthwhile, but still not a wholly pleasant experience.

Seafroggys 12-16-2006 10:12 PM

Concerts are way too expensive these days, you can mostly blame ticketmaster for that. Also, when bands decide not to use corperate sponsorship, that raises ticket prices drastically (hence why the Who were over $200 for floor), which is sad, because they shouldn't need corperate sponsorship. Woodstock was only $16, which according to inflation is like $96, which is nothing for 3 days of music.

Support your local bands (good ones that is) because by doing so will only encourage more good local bands. None of this DJ dance club ****.

Sunshine 12-16-2006 10:17 PM

Oi.

DJ dance club **** is cool.

At least the techno stuff is.

Hard House and Happy Hardcore FTW <3

Inkstar 12-16-2006 10:27 PM

Sup.

Janeway 12-16-2006 10:29 PM

Most local bands I would like play in 21+ places. But those, I don't mind. It's rarely ever above $5 and the shows are generally very good. Eh.

I like a lot of industrial, and stuff like Shpongle and Squarepusher, but I listen to it on my mp3 player. I would never go see it live, or even fathom setting foot into a club or dance party.

Sunshine 12-16-2006 10:36 PM

Raves kick ass, mans.

And you don't even have to be on drugs to enjoy them.

Janeway 12-16-2006 10:55 PM

All it is is flashy lights and loud, crapulent music. You NEED drugs to enjoy it.

I don't know what to ask for for Christmas.
I can get a new mouthpiece for my saxophone. Either a Vandoren Optimum, or a Selmer Larry Teal, and probably a new lig and a few different types of reeds. I've got a very bright jazz alto sound, and it isn't so well for classical playing.
That would really mellow my sound down a lot.

I really don't feel like saxophone at the moment, though.

There isn't anything I really want at the moment. I download all of my movies and music, I hate clothes, and I alreadee have a ton of shit. This was easier when I was younger.

I think the 'alreadee' is a nice touch.

Janeway 12-16-2006 10:58 PM

I'm tired.

And going to bed.

Good night.

drummguy731 12-16-2006 10:58 PM

TheBigMachine 12-16-2006 11:44 PM

TheBigMachine 12-16-2006 11:55 PM

green242 12-17-2006 12:01 AM

u can't get one? man, around here.. all ya need is like, a gr. 5 education and u can get a job. But I guess even tho, there are still unemployed people.
I go to school, but work on the side for my gas money to get to school basically. But now that I'm on christmas holiday, I can get like 70 extra hours... and finally maby get my cymbals I need...

TheBigMachine 12-17-2006 12:13 AM

Yeah, I can, i just havent lately because I've been flat out with sport and music. Mainly sport though. I play sport every single day of the week. Now it's holidays, I dont, and I could get a job, but Im going away very soon so there's not too much use in it.

green242 12-17-2006 12:15 AM

ahhh, yah. decisions, decisions

TheBigMachine 12-17-2006 12:15 AM

Yeah I know
Decisions suck

Inkstar 12-17-2006 12:28 AM

Ordered a new 18" HH Medium crash yesterday. :thumb:

TheBigMachine 12-17-2006 12:29 AM

Nice, nice.
Is that going to go out the back, over your floor tom?

Futuro 12-17-2006 12:33 AM
Support your local bands (good ones that is) because by doing so will only encourage more good local bands. None of this DJ dance club ****.
Modern rock music sucks balls.
Nice, nice.

Most probably. However I've got an 18" China there atm, so I've gotta decide where to put that. Maybe directly over my ride, and higher than one of my 16" crashes, so it's half overlapping the crash and china. Make sense?
