We_Love_Lime 08-19-2006 12:06 PM

Do they sound different?
Or are they just for looks.

Drum Phil 08-19-2006 12:10 PM

They increased in volume due to more air movement and they sound a bit trashier

We_Love_Lime 08-19-2006 12:15 PM

I thought they'd sound a bit trashier, but that's cool how theres more volume.
Mine sounded trashy, very trashy, even without little holes, I wonder how yours sound now heh.

Drum Phil 08-19-2006 12:17 PM

I like it me. Just until i get them GenX's off Ilikenoise

We_Love_Lime 08-19-2006 12:19 PM

0o0o0o.
Gen X-s.

Nice Phil.
The Marcos?
I wanted to get the whole rabb pack, 200dollars, but I don't have a credit card.

Drum Phil 08-19-2006 12:26 PM

Aye he said i can have them once his K's come.

I'd quite like a Toms Bekken crash.

We_Love_Lime 08-19-2006 12:41 PM

safari crashes sound nice.

Drum Phil 08-19-2006 12:42 PM

I prefer the lang ones me.

We_Love_Lime 08-19-2006 12:56 PM

Oh yeah?
Don't all Gen-X's have a little cymbal on top, which you can unscrew, and it makes it sound like a normal cymbal?

oR is that just the Rabb models?
Me.

Janeway 08-19-2006 01:56 PM

I'm tired as hell. =/

Berk 08-19-2006 01:57 PM

Wow, Were a bunch of lazy bastards on this forum.

Futuro 08-19-2006 02:22 PM

I have been playing along with Deliverance lately. I have to play the double bass part half speed haha.

Berk 08-19-2006 02:28 PM

Defintely good song, I love that part in the beggining. And that little groove at 2:20.

QUESTION:

How do you prenounce Paiste? Is it Piesty, Pasety, or paist?

Win A Rabbit 08-19-2006 02:29 PM

Pie-stee. For so long I called it "Paste", I almost always pronounce it like that when I first see the word nowadays.

I love Dragonforce. So much.

Janeway 08-19-2006 02:31 PM

I just got stuck on the couch.

It took me 20 minutes to get up. =/

Berk 08-19-2006 02:31 PM

I see, Cause I always make an *** of myself going to a music store and I'm like "where are your Paiste's?"

maniac0796 08-19-2006 03:26 PM

Meh, the guys at my store call it paste. I call it paste. Every drummer i know here calls it paste.

Janeway 08-19-2006 03:29 PM

Stargate finished downloading.

I'm tempted to watch it, but then I'll have nothing for my Zen Vision:M.

trysthedrummer 08-19-2006 03:32 PM

Ah very nice. So you bought one in the end? :) Cool.

If you ever try and play a video in the wrong format it doens't understand, you'l have to restart it, which is a pain if you haven't got a paper clip.

Sick-O 08-19-2006 03:35 PM
Meh, the guys at my store call it paste. I call it paste. Every drummer i know here calls it paste.
So that makes it right?

Janeway 08-19-2006 03:41 PM

I was under the impression that it played the majority of formats.
Everything I have is either DiVX or XviD.

trysthedrummer 08-19-2006 03:44 PM

When I drag any vids into Media Player to be synchronized it should convert it itself, unless it's a weird video format like .flv

I have IMTOO video encoder to change videos extensions so they can work on the player. I recommend.

maniac0796 08-19-2006 03:48 PM
So that makes it right?
Never said it did. Never meant to imply it did
i'm just saying people say it differenty wherever you go. I doubt we'll ever get to the bottom of this mystery until someone goes to the paiste household, and gets the family to say their surnames.

Janeway 08-19-2006 03:57 PM

So you don't use the Creative software?

I already have Creative MediaSource installed on my comp. Is the software included actually worth installing if I have the IMTOO video encoder? Or rather, do I need to install anything?

Oh really now?
How do you pronounce "Paiste"?
The correct pronunciation for "Paiste" is "Pie-stee".

As Mario Calire of Ozomotli says, "it rhymes with feisty"!
trysthedrummer 08-19-2006 04:04 PM

I don't use MediaSource to sync music and stuff to the player. There is some software on the cd that includes a video encoder. I installed it anyway, I just use this cheap IMTOO instead for some reason.

But yeah, if you install the software (I would just do it anyway) theres a program called Media Tool box, and from there you can select 'video converter'. It'l tell you if the video you are trying to convert actually needs converting, if so there's more options if you wish then it converts to a format the player understands.

Corkofski 08-19-2006 04:37 PM

tonight i wasted £5

i went to see a band, the midas girls, and i can genuinely say its the first time ive walked out soley because the band was unlistenable.

they soundchecked for 20 of their 30 min slot, then played a long *** intro
then i left...

trysthedrummer 08-19-2006 04:52 PM

I'd rather of wasted that and done something, rather of me sitting here for a long time. I dug up a recording of my band we did early 2005! Haven't heard this one in ages:

http://media.putfile.com/Claustrophobic got to let it buffer
