The Ludwig wins in the finish category because it has sparkle finishes, but i can get the kit with non-sparkle finishes for $100 less.

The pacific comes second for finishes and has an AMAZING bass drum sound and a great all around sound.

The Sonor comes last for finishes unfortunately but is equal with the PDP in sound.

1) They are just as good as a Sonor, or Mapex, or PDP.
2) They are cheaper, I belive.
3) You like the finish better.
4) They are all Birch, and honostly, I wouldn't be able to tell a difference in sound.

when i first joined this forum, i didnt have a clue what it was. asked mx and they said rc.

after a while i found out it was a Tour Custom (supposed to be the better RC). Its old. Been discontinued 20+ years ago.

Its not full birch like the RC. Its Birch/Mohagamy. I still like it.

The new heads i got, im really disappointed with. ive gone really tired with my sizes too.
