Hehe, I can relate Joe, I haven't done any actual work for Uni in weeks. Oddly enough, there really wasn't much to begin with but now I'm starting to bitch at myself when I need to leave the house. Being a slacker has killed my social life.

Yeah, I know what that is like. I just finished up the first semester for my masters program, and I was soooo lazy. I half asses everything and waited till the last minute to get it done. Hopefully next semester will be better. I just keep telling myself I work better under pressure.

American Studies initially began as a sort oy entwinement of history and literature. But now it's more or less expanded to include everything from literature to popular music, to movies, to clothing... everything. I think that is why I love it so much. I have a lot of freedom in what I can study, and I can experiment quite a bit. Its very interdisciplinary, which is really cool.
