I think I might actually be able to upload music now when it's posted on here. My computer's been running smoother as of late.

Seafroggys 10-10-2005 12:29 AM

I'm done with my Lennon tribute...couldn't really do an Entwistle tribute, its too late to play my speakers and I'm too lazy to grab my phones.

Leper 10-10-2005 12:32 AM

My Lennon tribute is still going I guess.

NP: The Beatles- In My Life

Illmatic 10-10-2005 12:36 AM

lepper: we can no longer upload music here...

Leper 10-10-2005 12:44 AM

Well, I guess that would make it tough, wouldn't it?

I haven't been around much lately, obviously.

Illmatic 10-10-2005 01:34 AM

Clearly you haven't...

So I have been listening to the Bootleg Series Vol. 7 (the "No Direction Home") soundtrack, and early on (1959-1960) he really really wanted to be Woody Guthrie.

I passed up getting that soundtrack the other day. I figured I have enough Dylan right now as it is.

Did anyone watch that Houston (baseball) game? Holy ****.....I'm never going to another baseball game ever again. Can you beleive it? The one day I decide to go to a game it lasts a horrible 18 innings! It was boring as hell but I'm glad they won though.

You got to go to that. Lucky. I watched the whole thing on tv. I'm a huge Yankees fan, but the Astros have always been my 2nd favorite team. Minute Maid Park is a really awesome stadium too. Great nachos.

I didn't get Bootleg Series Vol. 7. I own the DVD, so I figured that was enough.

Badmoon 10-10-2005 11:10 AM

You ungrateful son of a bitch.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 10-10-2005 11:26 AM

You'd think it's a thriller but **** no hits in like 9 innings is boring as hell! I love going to baseball games it's usualy a great expirence but this was just plain boring.....had it's moments though. Roger closing, a grand slam, walk off home run......BUT 18 innings! Sorry if it sounds as if I'm ungrateful but 6 hours of baseball is a bit much.

Edit: I just looked on ESPN and they're calling this one of the greatest games ever. :p

Guess I shouldn't be complaining....

I guess you have to be a real baseball nut like me to really enjoy it. I watched all 18 innings of the Astros game, had dinner, then watched all 9 innnings of the Yankee game. Yea that makes me sound really pathetic.

Has anyone here ever seen Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street band live? I'm trying to get tix to see him. My parents said he was the best show they ever saw.

My friend paid $80 to see him and said it was all new material that no one knew or liked, he was extremely disappointed.

That sucks. Maybe I won't see him. I don't know. It'll probably be hard to get tickets anyway.

I'm uploading John Barleycorn Must Die now. Magicbus asked for it last week, and then I kind of forgot about it. Doing it now though.

I have four of their albums, which is about five more than anyone else in this thread.

NP - "Fourth Time Around" Possibly my favorite Dylan song?

It seems like a lot people in this section of the forum have been on Dylan binges.

Uploads? :)

I've been on a Dylan binge for a while. Started around Christmastime last year, and by the time I joined Mx in May I had like 10 Dylan albums already. I spent a lot of money last winter, which would explain why I'm pretty much broke now.

I just sent out John Barleycorn.

If it's with the E-Street Band, definitely go. I hear that's a great live show. I'd love to see that.

D'amn that sounds borring. My freind is the biggest base ball nut, he got really pissed when the Philly's got kicked out.

I know someone who saw him, he said that it was all bad (the new stuff) untill the end when he played his classics (Thuder Road, Born In the USA, Born to Run ext.)

magicbus 10-10-2005 01:44 PM

I'm not a very big baseball fan at all, so I probably would've been bored as well, Schyma. But hey, different strokes.

Walrus Gumboot 10-10-2005 01:58 PM

I am the anti-jock, Everything about watching sports makes me want to suck my brain out of my head with a vacuum cleaner
"I hate you beacuse you like the Red Sox"
"I hate you beacuse you like the Yankees"
"I hate you all because you care"

I managed to turn my sister on to QMS, which is very hard to do, she is almost exclusively a Beatles Zealot

Jeff Buckley is cool.

thickasabrick 10-10-2005 02:20 PM

I think watching sports on TV is the most boring passtime in the world, I'd rather watch freakin' infomercials. There are a lot of sports that I enjoy playing though.

I'd defintely say I've been on a Dylan binge...I've been listening to at least three Dylan albums a day for the last couple months.

edit- I haven't heard much of Ten Years After...I don't own any albums, but I've heard a few songs that I got from some of the YSI threads a while ago.

Glitterati 10-10-2005 02:22 PM

Yeah, for me, watching golf or whatever on TV is like watching paint dry.
Jeff Buckley is cool.
That he is.

That's a good song.

On a completely unrelated note, yay for The Big Lebowski related user titles.

Schyma, do you only like early Pink Floyd? What do you think of everything after, say, the Meddle Album?

I feel so out of place here, guys :(

Also, "Surrender" by Cheap Trick is a great song.

magicbus 10-10-2005 02:30 PM

I like watching college football, basketball, and sometimes hockey. Baseball never really interested me all that much. Golf is fun to play, but never really fun to watch.

/my sports watching thing
Schyma, do you only like early Pink Floyd? What do you think of everything after, say, the Meddle Album?

What I don't understand, is why people always use Meddle as the dividing point between earlier and later Floyd...but really, the only way to divide them is Syd era then post-Syd era. Unless you are using Meddle to divide their careers because of the recognition and massive success they recieved after DSOTM and albums following it.

I don't know if I've ever heard Surrender by Cheap Trick... I'm not a huge fan of Cheap Trick, but I think they have a good singer and they can come up with some good songs now and then. I've got a few of their albums on vinyl (I think they were my dads actually) and I listened to one or two of them and I wasn't very impressed. Way too much filler.

Glitterati 10-10-2005 02:37 PM

I never really got into Cheap Trick.

Omg we're nearing the 2000th page!
