Oh man Animorphs used to pwn so hard. I have the video game for it even haha.

I've always wanted to pick up OSC books, but I never have time to read. I want to read King's Dark Tower series before that too. :-\

Seth, shush.
Good call on Animorphs. I used to buy every new book that came out. I think I have about 35 of them somewhere.

And fuck you, you waffle sniffing Mongolian.

Shiz, I just counted and I have like 14. The rest I just rented from the library.

I used to have a "crush" on Rachel.

Or whatever the blonde girl's name was.

Truth.

I was reading wikipedia and it turns out that like half of Animorphs was ghost written.

Apparently her schedule was too busy.

Indeed. Marcos was the Hispanic guy right?

Haha, yeah, that's probably the most memorable part about him besides the fact that he can gain nutrition from grass through his feet.

B:
Many of the novels from the #25-#52 range were written by ghostwriters. Typically, Katherine Applegate would write a detailed outline for each book, and a ghostwriter - usually one of Katherine's former editors or writing protégés - would spend a month or two writing the actual novel. After this, Katherine - and later her series editor, Tonya Alicia Martin - would edit the book to make it fit in with the series' tight continuity. Ghostwriters are credited for their help in the book's dedication page: "The author would like to thank [ghostwriter name] for his/her help in preparing this manuscript." The books fully written by Applegate herself after #25 are #26 The Attack, #32 The Separation, #53 The Answer, #54 The Beginning, and all of the Megamorphs and Chronicles books.
Seth: Haha, h5

Man, her and the original pink power ranger.

Something Jo something

BridgeToSolace 09-26-2006 10:43 PM

The most memorable thing about Marcos is that he said "This is insane!" all the time.

I had a crush on Tobias. I have a talon fetish.

I can't believe she killed off all the characters except Cassie at the end. The black person is the one supposed to die, not the other way around.

I honestly don't remember that.

Haha, indeed. He was Native American previously if I recall correctly.

And you prankster you. :p

I just pulled out book #54.

And I have this alternamorphs thingy where you pick a path and get a different ending depending what you pick.

B: Haha yeah.

PDWAB 09-26-2006 10:51 PM

I'm really glad The Attack was written by her, that's like my favorite one.

MattSharpIsCool 09-26-2006 10:52 PM

I dont remember most of them.

I did like #6, when Jake got yeerk'd.

PDWAB 09-26-2006 10:55 PM

The Attack was so sweet. Like the Ellimist put them on this planet to save this species called the Iskroot and they had to fight the Howlers and Jake kissed Cassie!

Haha I totally remember that. That was a good one.

I got that Visser one too where it shows the perspective of Visser 3.

Man, aren't we all such nerds?

I think I went through my animorph phase after my Goosebumps phase.

MattSharpIsCool 09-26-2006 10:56 PM

I think I remember that one.

I want one of those evil-bug things that eat bark.

I kind of had a goosebumps phase. But I sort of skipped that for the most part and read animorphs instead.

DJ Ducksauce 09-26-2006 11:00 PM

All this book talk makes me want to read, but I don't want to at the same time.

I'm so lazy now.

I want a morph box gice.

Seriously, be any animal you want for up to 6 hours at a time? Awesomeness.

I liked Goosebumps since I could read them so fast and easy. They were decent books for a 3rd grader too.

Permanent Solution 09-26-2006 11:02 PM

I never read Animorphs.

Morphing would be awesome. But it was 2 hours. Get it right.

I read Jurassic Park, the full novel, in 1st grade. I is a genius.

I think I went through more of a goosebumps phase than I remember. Its starting to come back to me now. Remember the "make your own adventure" book where you get trapped in an amusement park? That one was bitchin. It took me awhile to actually get to the end.

Oh god, I remember in elementary school and friend of mine brought in a tin foil cube and told me it was a morphing cube.

I literally spent ten minutes trying to catchy a bug so that I could "asborb" it's DNA.

I spent another half hour thinking that I was morphing into my dog. "Did my sense of smell just get sharper...?"

Goooood times.

Haha, it's been a while. Cut me a bit.

Hehe, I think I read that 7th or 8th grade. I probably watched the movie around then though. :p

I didn't really start reading till 3rd grade. It was pretty small stuff though such as GB and Mrs. Fritsby and the Rats of NIMH.

And yeah, those were awesome. I died 300240932057-23403204 times before getting an ok ending.

Jon: Hahahaha, that's so mean yet so awesome. I'd have probably fell for it too. I remember always wanting to make myself dream about Animorphs and not wanting to wake up.

BridgeToSolace 09-26-2006 11:08 PM

I chose to be a Druid in World Of Warcraft so I could turn into a bear and a tiger.

"Look at me guys, I'm Jake! Look look!"

MattSharpIsCool 09-26-2006 11:10 PM

Jake was my favorite. He was kind of the John Wayne of the books.

Hehe, I got to play him on the video game.

The ending part was always so hard for me.
