None gay deathcore. We are playing with them in November at the Sumo going to be epic.

paraphilia? **** you son

it reflects our lyrics

neonskies 09-19-2008 12:30 AM

Not sure where this'd go because it's not a strictly deathcore show, but I'm (hopefully) gonna see The Acacia Strain, Suicide Silence, Confession, A Day To Remember and Parkway Drive (headliners) in December.

adb 09-19-2008 12:31 AM

meh

jrowa001 09-19-2008 12:36 AM

ive been digging a bit of Burning Skies. theyre last album is pretty enjoyable

The Acacia Strain are awesome, but besides that, meh.

heard 'em before man they're not bad

Another band you might like is Icarus Tide. Infact a bloke on these boards (happy) is good mates with one of the band members.

You heard The Argent Dawn ? they're pretty good

Arucard 09-19-2008 08:08 AM

Ill check them out.

The argent dawn are ultra meh for me. Any band named after WoW when they aren't even level 70 for me = fail.

2muchket! 09-19-2008 08:26 AM

Tbh their guitarist Xavier's other band are more l33t. They're called Dreaming In Oceans and they're epic.

The are pretty good - as are these guys. I saw them at a venue in leicester called the Shed, there was 8 of us there and they were ****ing brutal. The singer was mental!

http://www.myspace.com/thebandapart

Lamest band name ever though aha

that's not a bad lineup tbh. and mappy hates parkway drive but i adore them

hismajestythepope 09-19-2008 03:01 PM

you guys are the only ones who ever critique my musics

so critique my new solo song:
http://myspace.com/thealonearenotalone

ive been working on my clean vocals, lots of geoff rickley and cody bonette influence

Dimmu Burger 09-19-2008 03:14 PM

dude wtf was that?

hismajestythepope 09-19-2008 03:25 PM

my experimental-elctronic music project

Especially considering I live in Australia so we rarely get bands like that rolling through, it's a pretty rare tour. The Acacia Strain are nice, I don't mind Suicide Silence, and ADTR are alright. I love Parkway too - I missed out on seeing them earlier in the year, but this line up makes up for it ten fold.

adb 09-19-2008 06:10 PM

SS puts on a pretty energetic live show, you'll be surprised. I've seen them 3 times already.

Dimmu Burger 09-19-2008 06:42 PM

I guess you Aussies gotta take what you can get. I'm glad I don't live down there. It's nice up here in Baltimore/DC, we have like 2 good tours come around every month.

jrowa001 09-19-2008 06:47 PM

i live in southern california so i basically can see most tours. im only about an hour from both san diego and l.a., plus anaheim gets a lot of shows and thats only half an hour for me

hismajestythepope 09-19-2008 06:47 PM

i live on the east coast so we get some sweet grind tours

jrowa001 09-19-2008 06:50 PM

yeah grind stopped coming out here because The Showcase theater closed and thats really the only place where a lot of grind bands would come play.

speaking of deathcore, Suicide Silence are from my county. i dont care for them but they are huge here

hismajestythepope 09-19-2008 06:54 PM

my band's guitarist got really into suicide silence, and somehow that led to him writing **** that sounds like between

jrowa001 09-19-2008 06:59 PM

everyone out here is trying to sound like SS, thats why the deathcore scene here is ****.

Dimmu Burger 09-19-2008 06:59 PM

Suicide Silence is decent. I'm seeing them on that Beneath The Massacre/Architects tour I think.
everyone out here is trying to sound like SS, thats why the deathcore scene here is ****.
ross says it's like suicide silence, but to me it sounds like paraphilia meets the damascus intervention meets between the buried and me

Architects will kill that gig.

Dimmu Burger 09-19-2008 07:40 PM

Yeah I'm prettymuch going for them, but I'll enjoy watching BtM for sure.

Question: If Mike is back to doing vocals for Knights Of The Abyss, then why did the singer from A Breath Before Surfacing record the vocals on Shades?

beans 09-20-2008 02:00 AM
Architects will kill that gig.
they're opening, it would be better if they had a longer set

tour isnt coming to oregon

pissed about that

Yeah, I live in one of the worst places for metal shows especially. Plus, for the bigger bands (which are the ones that are more likely to come here in the first place), we get ripped off so badly. When Iron Maiden came here in Feburary, the cheapest ticket was $100AU - worth it of course, but add in a $50 shirt, a $10 poster, and however much overpriced food, and it's pretty expensive for one night.

hismajestythepope 09-20-2008 01:11 PM

Architects are finally coming to the US?! boo yah!

encmetalhead 09-20-2008 01:53 PM

yeah their signed to century so they have the backing for an US tour now

hismajestythepope 09-20-2008 01:55 PM
