Ice cream and Milo..........................delicious.

Well I did manage to do some work on the EUB this weekend, not much as I had lots of other stuff to do.

Just cut a new wing and began cutting the control cavity.

mastrrbasser 10-15-2006 12:24 PM

one time i went to this restaraunt and ordered vindaloo. they asked how spicy I wanted it. the options were mild, hot, and spicy. I asked if they had NATIVE. he asked me if i was sure, and i said yes. I ate the whole dish, and i had to get up periodically to go to the restroom and splash water on my face. sweat was gatering up over my eyelids and basically dripping down my face.

katana_manatee 10-15-2006 12:31 PM

That is why I am not much of a food masochist. Plus I never eat spicy food that often. Love it when I do though. I especially like good hot fajitas and Prawn Jai Pooris.

I am sure you know them already but a few tips for curry:

- Milk, have a nice big glass of it handy

- Coconut, they should serve this with the meal. Take a handful and eat it when you have just swallowed a rather spicy mouthful.

Moon Flavor 10-15-2006 12:31 PM

mastrrbasser: You're pretty good...you're good with fills, but I must say, you rely on your cymbals too much for dynamics. I couldn't really hear your bass drum except when you double-bassed, which makes me think you play heel down when playing single? I'm told this isn't a good idea, precisely for this reason, but eh...it's not like I know how to play :p

mastrrbasser 10-15-2006 12:34 PM

yeah, it's boring when you're not drumming with a lot of people so i use cymbals a lot. it was taken on a camera with a video feature, so the bassdrum doens't pick up well. i never use heel down, i use the front of my feet always.

Moon Flavor 10-15-2006 12:36 PM

I mean, do you anchor your heel on the ground, or let it hang and drop your foot on the pedal? The former is usually faster for beginners(including myself) but later on it hurts your ability to play fast, do ghost notes, and be loud enough.

Eh.

I wish I had a way to make a video of me drumming, I think I'm doing good for 9 months

mastrrbasser 10-15-2006 12:38 PM

nah, my heels are always floating.

The Brad 10-15-2006 12:40 PM

I need a dining partner for Indian. :(

Ahhh okay, that's good.

I wish I could goi play now, but everyone's in the room below watching football :(

The Brad 10-15-2006 12:42 PM

Wow, $120 for a ticket I wouldn't be able to use until July.

Foxfire 10-15-2006 12:44 PM

I want to write a really heavy song with my band.

Left Shoe 10-15-2006 12:44 PM

12.50 to see my favorite band, but a 4 hour drive

ebe9 10-15-2006 12:45 PM

I was at the music store the otherday and I was struck with GAS for a Roland Electronic Drumkit.

<<<Is a drummer at heart.............explains my love for slap and pop

Left Shoe 10-15-2006 12:46 PM

if its a v drum then its justified

The Brad 10-15-2006 12:49 PM

Four hour drives can be fun?

ebe9 10-15-2006 12:49 PM
if its a v drum then its justified
It was the full V Drum kit version...................expensive tastes

It just really appeals for some reason.

The Brad 10-15-2006 12:52 PM

Because you can play drums at 3 am and not disturb a soul.

Moon Flavor 10-15-2006 12:54 PM

phil: what band?

lemoley 10-15-2006 12:59 PM

All water does is spread the oils around your mouth more.

Why did MS Word become the industry standard?

ebe9 10-15-2006 01:10 PM
Why did MS Word become the industry standard?
Because Microsoft became the monopoly and they decided it would be fitting to have a monopoly on spreadsheet and text editing programs too.

The Brad 10-15-2006 01:11 PM

It's so easily manipulated, all my settings are fubar as soon as I open a document rendered on someone else's machine. >:O
Four hour drives can be fun?
It always is on the way there, with all your friends and loud music and food and fun.

It's on the way back, when ythe majority have been drinking, you're all really tired and dehydrated and you still got 3 hours left, all the while the drivers concentration dips lower and lower.

The Brad 10-15-2006 01:27 PM

That's when you get a motel or kick it up to 100mph and keep everyone awake on adrenaline.

Only 100mph?

The Brad 10-15-2006 01:30 PM

My baby can only push 110 before the governor kicks on.
My baby can only push 110 before the governor kicks on.
Unlucky.

That is awfully low for a governer.

I know most european cars are goverend to 250kmph (156mph)

<<<has done 245kmph (153mph) on the highway..........that will wake you up.
