Listening now, pretty cool. Acid again? What was that website you get your samples from?

I couldn't use purevolume/soundclick because all my songs were like ten minutes long/over the file limit.

So I have to stick with putfile.

FA 04-16-2007 01:24 PM

yea ACID...i get samples from ccmixter and freesound. I have this problem where i'll get a track together...sounding ok...then won't ever touch it up and make the necessary changes to where it sounds more finished and not so ... messy. Hopefully this one i'll finish...i'm gonna remove a couple things from the track that i think clash..but whatevs

Surf 04-16-2007 02:17 PM

kewl

I'll have a look at the websites. I always need more samples.

I'm so bored. I've spent basically the entire day on the internet.

Eliminator 04-16-2007 03:27 PM

Eliminator 04-16-2007 03:38 PM

TojesDolan 04-17-2007 09:38 AM

Class in a couple minutes, been drawing random parts of a rather large, pretentious piece I want to get done. Haven't written in English in like, forever, I'm rusty.

Surf 04-17-2007 10:30 AM

Visions Of Cody.

Got through about 100 pages in a couple of hours. Very good.

I like the pseudo-stream-of-conciousness approach

FA 04-17-2007 11:20 AM

what a sad day in virginia...

well yesterday was more horrific...today it's sad imo

Surf 04-17-2007 11:41 AM

Its horrific.

I mean damn. Some nasty stories coming out in the news and stuff.

Anyone in here dig Ginsberg?

Oh, and Surf: I'd like to comment on how much I liked your poem in this week's lyrical challenge, it's crazy good, probably the best piece I've seen posted in here. Kudos on your hard work, it's really long, but you still managed to pull it off very welll. I say it still needs some edits here and there, but otherwise it's a fantastic work. :thumb:

samariah 04-18-2007 06:42 PM

i wish i had some motivation to write more :/

class 04-18-2007 10:58 PM

...if u don't have motivation to write maybe you don't enjoy writing as much as you think..

Slut Stick Blue 04-19-2007 12:07 AM

...or maybe you're just depressed to give a fuck anymore..

TojesDolan 04-19-2007 06:07 AM

Yeah, once it becomes something that preoccupies you then it's just not your thing.

Depression has nothing to do, good writers use any emotion to work on, really. The approach, buckos, that's all that really matters.

On The Road is his most famous book, so I think I'm going to look into that one next, I'll get more into it over the summer when uni finishes and I stop having to read.

And Ginsberg is good. He's got a tendancy to lean towards ranting (see; America) but there's alot of emotion in his work.

Thanks man, its good to know. Gotta spread apparently.

Don't force it. Wait for inspiration.

And most importantly: Why the fuck has no one told me about Mark Kozelek before?

/red house painters binge

(*The Noonward Race*) 04-19-2007 08:22 AM

TojesDolan 04-19-2007 08:59 AM
