Ideas as to how to take it off without ruining the laquer finish?

wont mineral spirits work as well? or will that hurt the finish?

probably. shell pink with competion stripes (the ones on the arm contour) but i'm not sure about the color of those yet.

right now, i'm just dieing for an "obnoxious bass" so thats the first color i thought of.

Why did they even bother putting on the pickguard? The finish was equally protected with the amount of glue involved. Crimeny. I doubt if I can finish this in another 15 minutes.

Cool idea, I would stick a maple neck in there with white blocks and white binding.

eh, i dunno if that would look very good with a perloid scratchplate on it. i was just thinking maple neck with rosewood fretboard.

hah, i've got a geddy too...

how man i like both of them a lot, almost as much as ratatat. i liked caspian mucho mucho.

So I'm going to pick up a case for 20 bucks this thursday. I only need to fix the locks. And I was thinking of adding something else to it.. A little alarm system with a press-knob. So if I put the case down somewhere and I set the alarm tight, nobody can pick it up or the alarm will go off. When I open the case and turn off the alarm, I can pick up the case again. :p
