Firecracker 08-24-2005 08:19 AM

Hi guys.
My name's Laura.

It's a horrible day outside. :(
I wish my drum kit was inside the house, and i didn't have to walk outside on my way to play. It's in my garage you see.

spike9908 08-24-2005 08:21 AM

especially for shots. i think a needle tip broke for one of my hepititis (sp) B shots. the spot hurt for a lot longer than it should have, and theres a scar or something at the spot. and i got that shot over a year ago.

EDIT: Jim, do you sleep at all? you posted at 3a.m. (you time) and you next post (in here) was at 6:30. damn i can tell you what, i could not run on 3 1/2 hours of sleep.

Ethan. 08-24-2005 08:23 AM

I wish I had a garage to put my set in; I have about 10 square feet to walk in my room. It's shared with my twin brother. He threatens to destroy my drum set daily because of how much room it takes up.

He wouldn't though. He knows drums mean a lot to me.

Firecracker 08-24-2005 08:25 AM

It's good having it outside in some respects, but when in this weather the roof leaks and i get a swimming pool of a floor tom, not too good, and i can't record out there as there is no working computer, but we are getting the computer to work so i can record, which is ace.

Siblings, who wants 'em? My sisters always tell me to stop playing, drums/guitar, it's annoying of them.

-TheGlassPrison- 08-24-2005 08:25 AM

I have an entire basement.

Firecracker 08-24-2005 08:26 AM

:upset:
I want a basement, but i don't know if they exist in Dorset.
I have an entire basement.
so do i, but i only use one corner of it. but when i get a job and money, that will change.

Ethan. 08-24-2005 08:33 AM

I used to have a basement in New York, but then we moved. I didn't play drums then. A basement would be nice too.

VTDS_xx 08-24-2005 09:58 AM

I have the extra bedroom in our house for my drums. It used to be my band's practice room and we had two half-stack guitar amps and one 100 watt bass amp in there along with my drumset, so now that the band has broken up I've got even more room to myself :)

Seafroggys 08-24-2005 11:09 AM

I have a 3.5 car garage to store my drums in, plus its only 5 years old so its well insulated. Its just 5-10 degrees hotter then the rest of the house (not bad, seeing as it gets to like 85 max)

Firecracker 08-24-2005 11:30 AM

In a few years we're going to renevate our garage and make it into something decent. Hopefully with a big room for my instruments. A place where my band can practice etc.

rockindrummer 08-24-2005 12:28 PM

I have my room but my room is huge and it doesn't take up that much room in it.

Massik Kretal 08-24-2005 05:14 PM

I don't think I ever properly introduced myself...

Hi guys my name is Steven. I'm 14 and I've been playing drums for 3 years goin on 4 soon. I have a 7 peice Ludwig Accent combo kit. I like good music like Opeth, Dream Theater, Children of Bodom, Symphony X, Led Zeppelin, the occasion System of a Down, and some other stuff.

I enjoy walks in the park, long friendly chats, and the occasional night out...

Well thats me....glad I got that off my chest.

Josiah 08-24-2005 05:45 PM

I own a brothel in the inner city, I use the basement for rehersals/practice.

It's great, the neighbors never complain.

Seafroggys 08-24-2005 05:51 PM

^^^HAHAHHA! Thats great. You've got to be kidding though.

If not......

Can you hook me up with discounts :thumb:

Ethan. 08-24-2005 06:09 PM

Massik Kretal 08-24-2005 06:10 PM

Yeah I can listen to the occasional jazz. Only for the drums though. Rock and metal is my life.

the majority for sure, but there are some punk kids here too.

Win A Rabbit 08-24-2005 06:10 PM

i like hard rock and metal, but on the other hand, i like almost everything. i mainly listen to metalcore and melodic hardcore/pop-punk, with pinches of almost everything else thrown into the mix.

well i went to clean my cymbals with some dishsoap and water, but all it really got off was stick marks. the fingerprints barely came off after extensive scrubbing and everything. is there a certain technique to cleaning cymbals, or do i need to go buy groove juice?

stabbinspaghetti 08-24-2005 06:12 PM

i listen to a variety as well, i just really like the above posted bands....like i listen to the ramones, misfits, blondie, clash, and all that as well, anything that is good..i like, anything i can understand i like, hah which equals i hate screamo

Massik Kretal 08-24-2005 06:12 PM

I can't figure this out...

On Octavarium the singer sounds totally different then yesterday in concert. In the concert he sounded much more like symphony x vocals or malmsteens vocals. On other albums too. It's weird. Can anyone explain??

I enjoy classical music and the opera... I also enjoy TOOL and Rage... I also enjoy jazz and swing... I enjoy latin music as well...

Ethan. 08-24-2005 06:19 PM

I hate that screamo crap too. That's just the music where they scream the whole time right?

Some bands I like:

The Who
Led Zeppelin
Rush
Deep Purple
Black Sabbath
The Rolling Stones

No particular order... just some off the top of my head.
