It would be pretty cool if they released the new tool album with a bonus dvd with the lateralus tour footage.
O.O that would be the most beautifull thing ever...although its probably never gonna happen :(
I'd buy tickets to their concert in a heartbeat, too.

OH GOD I can't freaking WAIT for their U.S Tour. I want to follow them all over the country. I'd do it too.
Im already planning on following them across the UK, after they played the US for about 6 months

And when I say follow, I mean go to the one venue they're probably gonna play. They never stick around in the UK for long :upset:

Listening to Merkaba... ahh... love the drum solo... wait, the whole song is a bloody drum solo.

Imagine... getting new album... staring at the wicked art for ages until finally having the courage to brave such an awesome tome of eargasmic genius... and just before you put the CD in you see a DVD hidden behind the tray. *splooj*

Yeah, I agree. The first note onwards he was really off. Adam looked asleep at times (I guess that song can only be played so many times till it becomes a chore to play), but Justin and Danny are pelting it out well.

I dont think i have many more good ones. I have 2 1 minute long snippets of Eulogy and Flood if anyone is interested, but they are far from full length.

Although I did come across an early live MP3 of Ænema, sounds like it was played at a smallish venue

Phototropic 03-30-2005 07:44 AM

Well......I wouldn't mind hearing it if you're willing to u/l

That vid's cool btw :)

Maynard off key a bit though at the start :(

Its not as great as when I first heard it. YOu can tell its early on in the songs life though, as Adam doesn't go OTT with the solo like he seems to now

Adam Jones is GOD 03-30-2005 08:37 AM

Yeah, their tours do seem to be album based all the time. I know songs like 46&2 and Stinkfist always have a high chance of being on their set lists.

And it annoys me even more missing them last time round at London, as their set list then included Ticks And leeches (very rare), 4 Degrees (old classic) and Jerk Off (even older classic)

And the fact it was a 2 night date. Two nights, two varying set lists = Insane amount of Tool :(

But this time, I wont miss it no matter what.

Six Foot Revolver 03-30-2005 08:48 AM

I would love to go see Tool live

NP:Intolerance

Darkness 03-30-2005 09:37 AM
Shut up, faggot.
Good call.

On another note I just finished getting the last 2 videos that I didn't have off of music television sucks... so now I have them all sept the Intolerance one is with quicktime and you can't download it, it just plays on an internet window...kinda sucks...

the2stranger 03-30-2005 10:13 AM

they should really make a compilation of clips and live songs on dvd.
although I don't see it happening fast :(

Darkness 03-30-2005 02:12 PM

Yeah a dvd would be awesome... anything new from Tool right now at this point would be awesome.

SeAmoNKeY 03-30-2005 02:57 PM

did that schism video crash anybody elses computer. After a couple seconds it went to the blue screen of death, and i had to reboot.

Kage 03-30-2005 02:59 PM

FINALLY! I'm now downloading five Tool videos from musictelevionsucks.com. The download speed is really fast, too :thumb:

^ Nope works perfect for me... man the live one was great though... I like zoned out for most of it tell all the lights went red and the heavy outro came in... it was crazy.

And yay for you Kage :thumb:

clearvision 03-30-2005 03:23 PM

Kage, you know what to do..upload upload UPLOAD!

TrainTakeMeHome 03-30-2005 03:37 PM

I have Mpegs of several full length Tool concerts. The best quality one is an Oklahoma City show, which consists of 2 files, one for each set the band does. First set is Cold And Ugly, The Grudge, Stinkfist, 46 & 2, Schism, and Third Eye. Second set is D/R/T and Lateralus. Awesome show, great audio and video quality, highly trippy visuals, and a great performance by the band. The first and second set are about 700 and 450 megs respectively. If there's demand for this stuff I'll upload the first set overnight tonight to YouSendIt, and the second part sometime tommorow.

Question

Hey, I am a new Tool fan. I've been digging into the theorys behind Maynard's lyrics, and at first I thought he was completly athiest, but I looked a little deeper and found referances to Kaballa and a few differant lyrics. Plus he was married, but I just want to know of curiosity, Is Maynard an athiest. It doesnt matter to me these guys still rock.

Kage 03-30-2005 03:53 PM

Yeah that'd be great if you uploaded those, Train.

And I'm assuming that a lot of people here have already seen the ones I've downloaded, as they're from musictelevisionsucks.net, but if you want me to upload them I will. I have these, (all live, of course): Lateralus , Stinkfist (New York), Third Eye (Montreal), Ticks & Leeches, and The Patient.

mudvayne420 03-30-2005 03:55 PM

i only have H., AEnema, prison sex, stinkfist, lateralus, and the patient live. and downloading schism now. i ain't really that upped to see tool live , i mean it's ok, but actually being there would be an amazing experience. Hope they come to NEw Mexico.

Kage 03-30-2005 04:05 PM
As far as I know, he hasn't actually commented on his religion, but it's assumed he's an atheist. Obviously his statements regarding organised religion along with his lyrics, and ideology of "think for yourself", kind of contradict a lot of religion, but I think he hasn't formally said. Not that it would necessarily mean much if he had. Welcome to the forums by the way.

To anyone with Tool videos/live stuff, don't let me stop you uploading it. :p
Non-religious and athiest are quite far from one another. Maynard is a very spiritual person, at least that's the message I get from a lot of the lyrics on Lateralus. My guess is that Maynard opposes organized religion because he belives personal beliefs should be just that, personal (hence all the "Think for yourself" references as well as the lyrical themes of Parabola). He might very well be an athiest, though.
