The Living End's debut album 'The Living End' great slab of aussie rockabilly |
A lot of pixies on the go recently, downloaded Blonde on Blonde and Highway 61 revisited by Bob Dylan, only skirted round a few tracks but its very emotional folky stuff, I like it. Also getting into the Libertines. Plus Dispatch.

I downloaded a couple of tracks from You Forget It In People and wasn't impressed at all.
|
BSS are awesome. They're even more awesome live, though.
|
Well, an awful lot of people whose tastes I respect love the hell out of them, so I am going to give the full album a try at some point.
i.e. when my PC stops sucking. |
I'm really really really digging Pixies now, and I'm also enjoying some Weezer.
|
My recent diggage, so my posts in here can have a point for once -
Nick Drake - Pink Moon .....yeah, that's basically it as far as full albums go. And some Boy Hits Car, which I downloaded from a thread in RYM, and is better than I expected it to be. |

Is his self-titled as good as Amethyst Rock Star?
Anyone? Dust? No? |
I'm getting a little more acquainted with Source Tags and Codes. I think it may end up being an enjoyable album for me, just gotta give it more time.
Is his self-titled as good as Amethyst Rock Star?
Anyone? Dust? No?
I've only heard the self titled, but it's really good. |

Transfer, a local band (San Diego). Holy man, they're good. Kinda acoustic, a bit ethereal, good stuff. I hope they get noticed. They only have an EP out right now.
Website: http://www.transferband.com Some Flash junk, but the songs section has four songs to stream. |
I'm really diggin' Tago Mago by Can right now.
|
Minus the Bear has been playing all day...
|
I've been listening to the Bark Psychosis album that somebody uploaded in the YSI thread.
Cheers to whoever it was. I also gave the Pixies a listen, and really liked what I heard. |
Kyuss - Blues For The Red Sun
REM - In Time Jeff Beck - Jeff The Velvet Underground - TVU&N |

Jeff Beck - Jeff
What's it like? I've only heard one track from it (So What), but it was excellent, so I'm hoping the rest is. |
Okkervil River - Black Sheep Boy
Beck - Odelay |
What's it like? I've only heard one track from it (So What), but it was excellent, so I'm hoping the rest is.
Very different from what I was expecting. There are points on it where Beck doesn't even seem to be the focal point. It runs a wider range of electronic music than I thought it would, too. I'm probably the wrong person to ask, because I usually hate solo guitar albums, but I'm enjoying this one, so maybe that says something. |
