Just curious. |
I rarely include the extra O. You should check it out, its on page 3

How much was it?

Actually what attracted me to the bass was its playability, as in the action was really low and easy to play. I raised it a little, because I fingerpick fairly hard, but the action is one of my favorite parts about it. edit- the action does look high in that one pic, its not though |

I hate EMGs. I think they sound cheesy. |
any of you guys know the going price for a russian big muff?
Just curious.
45-50 bucks on eBay. Thats how I got mine. |
I actually like Spector 5's more than 4's, which is weird because I am a 4 string elistest. I found that their 5 necks feel like a slightly bigger 4 neck. The shae is the same.

Nice. I'm having trouble deciding between the Boss and Digitech bass distortions and this thing. |
Spector 5s are cool. I like how they only use 35" for them. I dont like anything less for 5s
|
Hey all
|
Hey, neal.
What's up? |
i got broadband and the response on this server os so sloooooooooow
can't wait gotta gooooooo and those popups (especially the duck one) i got all firewalls and blocks and security locks to the max and i still get em so bad it hangs my IE. oh nooooooo gotta gooooooooo, pushed the "post" button & nothing happennedd |
is it snowing where any of you guys live?
|
Jamie, those are like the 5 most bottom-kicking songs Muse have done. I would possibly try Sunburn instead of Time is Running Out if you can get it past the band, but go for it!
You shouldn't have a problem learning them, they're pretty simple (bar Citizen Erased, if only for the length), so good luck! Oh, and my muff cost me £30 from Soundcontrol, but that was with El Discounto. I don't know how much more it is at full price... |
Nope, i wish!
|
yea i've got like 8 inches and its supposed to snow tommorow too
|
Crapdragon, did you see my spector?
Where did you play it? Sound control?? |
(The place under Virgin in Oxford Street)
|
yer, that was the place (i was with him)
|
Cool... what did you (two) think of it?
Or anyone else thats been there?? I got my Ampeg from there...:D |
yeah i think its a really good place, a bit expensive though.
|
Yea... the whole set-up idea is magical though... the big metal stage with all the amp makers...
Not a great instrument selection though... |
yeah i was hoping there would be more 6ers but oh well, i wanted a go on the boss loop pedal in there but someone was using it :upset: i am definetly gonna try it out when i next go though.
oh have you seen that big stage next to the staircase? can anyone just go up there and have a jam? |
Hello hello.
|
Was that on the big white shelf of Boss stuff thats all hooked up with patch leads??
I dont think its like that... its for trying out/looking at amps... But you just need to say 'Can I try out X instrument with X amp?' and theyll probably say yes and definitely if youre convincing and its not a busy day. :thumb: Last time I went they had a Stingray with a warped neck, I was gonna say to them that they should just let me buy it for a couple of hundred £'s. One of the women that works in there (called Sheila) is the bassist for Elastica... |
morning mx
|
yeah they are really friendly there, not every shop would let someone just try out a £2700 spector bass just to see what it is like :p
|
What did you think of it??
I almost tried one last time I was there but we were strapped for time... |
oh it is the nicest bass i have ever played! its the maple euro neck one. I was just so amazed at how good it was! you must try it!
|
I shall next time I go which should be soon, what colour was it?... Do you go to Tin Pan Alley often??
|
littlebit off the theme...
i have been drinking for two days and i'm not able to play bass 'cause my fingers just won't move.. |
Haha... attention seeker perhaps?
|
it is pretty much but with different pickups and knob setup
http://www.spectorbass.com/images/cr4fmnatblack.jpg isnt that denmark street? if so yes, i bought a boss chorus pedal in rockers earlier. |
Denmark Streets nickname is Tin Pan Alley :thumb:
looks cool |
yeah i thought so, what do you think of the bass cellar?
|
I think the guy running its a bit of knob because he is OBSESSED with Flea...
Have some interesting stories there... lol |
hey do one of you guys mind answering my strings thread real quick? Rep points for detailed answers...
|
They are a bit more how you say careful in there, like one time i was playing a 6er in there and the guy was like watching me all the time :p like i was gonna break it or something. And the shop is really cramped, like you have to squeeze between expensive basses and amps, and i get a bit scared that i'm gonna knock something over lol :p |
