3 of my friends got arrested today. Apparently he (the cop) pulled up in the creek where my friends were walking and searched them (for what reason I do not know yet) my best friend had a glass pipe and a dime of bud on him so he's the only one who actully got arrested. Now he's grounded and has a cop follow him but I still don't know what happened to my other two friends. For once I'm extremly glad I was grounded.

To keep this some what Classic Rock related: As the cop was putting him in his car he looked down at my friend's Zappa shirt and apprently told my him that Frank Zappa was just crappy druggy music. Probably just another close-minded redneck........
Got arrested for a pipe and a gram? I wouldn't wanna live where you live...we've got our weed taken away about 10 times in the past year, every time it's been over three grams. We've got our glass bong, our pipe, various joints etc taken away...but never arrested. They always just tell us to get out of their sight...lousy crooked cops. We were caught smoking up at school, and my friend had weed on him and he didn't get arrested...although the cop threatened to haul him to the station.

I'm going though, see ya guys later.

np: Simon & Garfunkel - Feelin' Groovy.

He said if he gets him caught again he can serve 2 years in prison.

This is the first time we've ever had the cops get involved with anything. :-/
Edit: What does everyone think of Belja(sp?) Fleck? Outstanding musicianship.....I'm finding myself listining to more and more Jam Rock each day.
It's Bela (with an accent over the e), and he's worth listening to just to hear Victor Wooten play.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 10-07-2005 08:37 PM

HELL YEA! I have a Bass solo of his it's like 10 min of him just tearing it up. My favorite bassist for sure! I'm just glad I'm fortunate to have 2 entire concerts by them. Ones Jazzy and diverse while the other is just pure Bluegrass.....both fantastic concerts.

*downloading Convict Pool

BludgeonySteve 10-07-2005 08:40 PM

It takes a special bass player to make a bass solo interesting.

I'd probably think that they were more interesting if I played bass.

I told my friend to register and start posting on this site, or I was going to drop kick him in the face at band practice. I'm such a good recruiter .

DONT PRESS THAT LINK!!

It makes you post a thread advertising that link. DO NOT PRESS IT!!!

I found out the hard way. :upset:

Glitterati 10-07-2005 10:01 PM

Yeah, I was just about to say "I have a feeling I don't want to click that." And now that has been confirmed.

Me too.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 10-07-2005 10:07 PM

I knew I shouldn't have pressed it either. I was courious though....:upset:

There's like 15 new threads in the guitar forum because of it too.

Never click a link that has a user with a very low post count and only is posting a link......

I hope the site doesn't close because of it.
Drummer: Tony Williams
He's a killer drummer. In jazz band at college we've been listening to a lot of tunes that he drums on, hes insane.

MBS 10-07-2005 10:10 PM

Schyma, you might get banned for 3 days. Ken's banning everyone who clicked the links. =/

Just a heads-up.

In the meanwhile, edit the link out of your thread.

Glitterati 10-07-2005 10:11 PM

Just use the ignore list.

Convict Pool is an EP but the band's name is Calexico they're an Indie band from Arizona that plays a mix of Americana Rock and apparently much more but I am still very ignorant to the band myself so I really wouldn't know all of what they play. I wish to learn more though. :)

/wounders how you knew my name

NP: Alone Again Or (Love cover) - Calexico

Edit: Moon, can you send me "Corona" and "Praskovia"? I have both of them but they're really messed up. :-/

Yogi knows all.

I haven't listened to Convict Pool in awhile, I should probably do that today.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 10-08-2005 08:42 AM

It sucks that it's only 21 min I don't want to waste an entire CD on less than 30 min of music. :-/

Badmoon: What happened to all the Jam talk?

Broken Arrow 10-08-2005 08:55 AM

Isn't Convict Pool an EP?

EDIT-Nevermind you already pointed that out
