I have a fuzzy feeling inside

don't see myself going to australia any time soon, though

haz, tell me what you think of this dish I am thinking of making (making it from scratch so it'll probably suck):

Chicken pieces (legs, breasts) marinated with some olive oil, cinnamon and a little bit of brown sugar and salt and pepper, cooking in a sauce pan with butter and olive oil.
after it's cooked I want to deglaze the pan with a dry riesling and then add some water and a herb bag with star anise, juniper berries and something else (don't know what yet)
reduce that to a sauce, pour onto the chicken just before serving, serve on top of a baby spinach salad tossed with a balsamic vinegar/olive oil dressing

I want to try different flavours so

ive had nothing but milk/water/tea for a couple weeks had some pepsi today and it was kind of gross think im done with soda

I discovered that dipping hot wings into garlic hummus is absolutely amazing beer munchies food.

apart from honey never really tried marinating chicken in something sweet, with cinammon and sugar, i'd image it would end up a lot like compote which can be almost sickly. it'll probably get very syrupy, making a reduction from this after adding liquid might just burn or taste a little too intense, dominating the flavours of everything else you put with it. that is if i'm fully understanding what you are planning to do, that is
