I have a question. Is there any moshing/crowd surfing at a DT concert? I highly doubt it but I dont want it to ruin my show.

When I saw them it was all seated, there isn't usually any moshing as far as I'm aware usually. Are you sure you're show isn't all seated?
Whys everyone suddenly becoming so uptight about moshing? Its hardly a new craze.

We'll its my first metal concert, but I have been knocked unconscious at a mosh at a local show. I wasnt even in the pit. I figured DT wouldnt have one, but I dont want to be in a coma for a few hours again.

EDIT: Just checked. My show is all seated so I dont have anything to worry about.

The local band was a thrash band so there was a large pit. I was standing there with my friend and as I turned to ask him what he thought of the band, I got struck from behind. From what I was told, a second pit was formed and we were in the dead center of it. Someone must have thought I was willingly in there and went for me.

I was only in it for about an hour and I got 48 stiches. I am actually very lucky it wasn't worse. I have nothing against moshing as long as there is a defined pit. I may go in from time to time, but I would much rather listen to the band then get a broken bone. I can go do some stupid stunt in the backyard if I want to get hurt. I dont need to buy expensive tickets to do so.

haha good reason. only been to one show so far where tehy had actual moshing and i didn't really like it. got kicked in the head way too many times and came back home with bruises everywhere.

and yea DT shows are seated and no one moshes/crowdsurfs. because they're all too busy gaping at their awesomeness :O

the wolverhampton gig wasn't seated, and during songs like the glass prison, peruvian skies and the intro to the root of all evil everyone was jumping about, but there was no pushing or anything like that.

people in the pit are obvbiously gonna stand. i was at a seated venue when i saw them, but i still had no problem standing on my chair :]

I shouldn't have to stand on the chair. Im 6'3'' and 190 pounds. I'll probably break the thing. If its a seated venue, I doubt there would be a mosh.

That's what bands generally do when they are touring for an album.

It would be great to see them play a sensible place over here next time.

They played two dates in London... and Wolverhampton is a pretty popular place for bands as well. Its not as bad as Children of Bodom only playing in London and Bradford... I mean, who plays in Bradford?!

Who plays in Bradford? Well practically every rock and metal band that plays to >300 < 1000 people. It has a decent sized club (Rios) and probably the second biggest metal scene in the country. When I started to go to gigs bands used to properly tour the UK playing small towns etc. now they play London and then maybe Bradford or Nottingham if you're lucky.

There are plenty of places more popular than Bradford, you'd expect a band like CoB to play somewhere like Birmingham, Manchester or Nottingham.

Yeah. Why would they play to between 300 and 1000 people. It'd make the gig intimate but I don't think they were aiming for that.

There's a bigger metal scene in Bradford than any of those places. Trust me I've been to gigs in practically every city in the country. Bradford is a dump but it's metal central.

You're version of The Spirit Carries on is probably legit. It's just songs off Train of Thought and Octavarium that was disguised.
