For a four person band that's $2.50 each member per album they sell, before thinking about the cost of making the album and posting it. Sick sad world.

so yeah interesting night last night. Went to some 'alternative night club' where they play punk and metal and it was ok coz they had live punk bands playing but when they stopped, it become boring. So we went to the strippers.

If you can afford to make merch then you're already doing well, and shows don't pay very much unless you're drawing over 400 people.

I think it'd be cool to do cafe gigs [I used to a while ago]. Like, 4pm to 8pm type stuff doing low-volume stuff so that you can help the transition from meals to dinner stuff. I reckon there's a market for that. Just gotta find cafes that are up for it. Restaurants are too fussy and formal.
