there's finally some sort of update on the Tool site. Nothing new about the album or the band though but anyway. It talks about some hidden song on the Opiate vinyl that some people are able to listen to and others are not (something about where the needle lands). I was just wondering if anyone in here owns the vinyl and if so have you been able to access that hidden track?

They are not very similar they sound..............different idon't know
another sidenote, does anyone else think that when the silence is broken in ticks and leeches about 6 minutes into the song, that may be the most jamming piece of music that tool has ever written, and it sucks that they wont play it live, i would still love to hear that song instrumentally, any comments?
that song is great, one of my favorites, but they do have played that song live.

if you want to see it go to musictelevisionsucks.com there you can find a lot of tool videos live.

Darkness 03-29-2005 07:26 PM

Go to this link http://www.musictelevisionsucks.net/music_videos_list.php?letter=T&page=4 that takes you straight to the page with tool.

Kage 03-29-2005 07:27 PM

As many already know I've never successfully gotten a video from that damned site

thanks you put .com the first time

Darkness 03-29-2005 07:28 PM

Lol. I remember that... but after trying for about 2 days I got all of them sept Opiate... I would have had it but I clicked open instead of save so I could only watch it.

Kage 03-29-2005 07:29 PM

Maybe I'll try again. I once got a good place in line where I had to wait *only* half an hour, but it didn't work, as usual.

joemarsh 03-29-2005 07:36 PM

The "line" thing is pretty lame

Dried Muffin Remnants 03-29-2005 07:38 PM

I got a lot from there. Unfortunately Stinkfist Live in NY didn't get saved, and that was the best one IMO.

Darkness 03-29-2005 07:52 PM

I haven't even watched them all yet... I'll get to it someday.

SeAmoNKeY 03-29-2005 10:06 PM

does anyone know whether once i get in the line that when my turn is up i automatically start to download, or do i have to click ok or something like that? Since my turn is somewhere around 3 am i dont want to have to get up to hit e.nter or click the mouse

Kage 03-29-2005 10:07 PM

I've never gotten that far, but I'm assuming you do have to click something.

Your going to have to, as soon as your time is up you click a button saying "click hear to start downloading!".

Set your alarm...

SeAmoNKeY 03-29-2005 10:23 PM

hmmm...maybe ill just start this thing in the morning so by the time i get home it'll be ready.

BurtonChancellor 03-29-2005 10:24 PM

I dunno, when I downloaded all the Tool videos from that site (and I downloaded over a dozen of them), once it was my "turn", it didn't seem to matter when I actually downloaded the video. As long as I left the window open after I waited through all the other downloads, I could start downloading whenever I felt like it.

Sleeper 03-29-2005 10:34 PM

Its easier to get Tool Videos from file sharing programs

Really? Hopefully these will be ready when I wake up. If not, I think I'll just give up

misunderstood 03-29-2005 10:42 PM

yeah, it is a little easier to get tool videos from file sharing programs. At some point i had downloaded two complete concerts. One from Ohio and the other from New York but I must say it did take a while to download also. JUst not as long.

Sleeper 03-29-2005 10:47 PM

I can never find any good concerts to dl, Which always bugs me. Why dosent tool come out with a live DVD?

misunderstood 03-29-2005 10:53 PM

there was supposed to be some live dvd coming out. It was recordings fromt he last six shows of the Lateralus tour back in '02. I dont' know what the hell happened though...don't know why it's taken so long. If i'm not wrong, i think it was suppose to be out this past summer. Blair has made a couple of mentions here and there about it but nothing official.

Sleeper 03-29-2005 10:55 PM

Well maybe when the new tool album comes out we can see one.

almighty_sandwich 03-29-2005 11:18 PM

TOOL OWnS NO ONE"S SOUL
TOOL OWnS NO ONE"S SOUL
Shut up, faggot.

Sleeper 03-29-2005 11:34 PM

I mean, it would be great. But they never seemed like the type of band to make a video of a concert, More of you have to see it in person.

BlindWriting 03-29-2005 11:39 PM

If the new album came out simultaneously with a concert/music video DVD... oh man.
Orgasm ++

Sleeper 03-29-2005 11:44 PM

It would be pretty cool if they released the new tool album with a bonus dvd with the lateralus tour footage.
