Happened to me with Dream Theater...I was hooked within 3 bars of Pull me under...

Maybe I don't quite [I]love[/I] them yet, but they're definitely damn good. Melodic death/power metal from Sweden. They're like Dark Tranquility only heavier.

I will get some new cd's for X-mas, the only problem is, I can't decide what genre :(
I want a lot of extreme metal, but some prog rock/classic rock would be nice too, as well as classical musix.
Luckily classical music is very cheap compared to metal.

I had a Skyfire album a while back. I can't find it anymore though... :(

I'm thoroughly enjoying this one. I think I may just have to buy it, I'm really impressed.

Ja, it was on at midnight, but all they showed was Korn videos.

I was amazed at how much Jon Davis has changed over the past decade. Even though I don't like them, theur old videos are fun to watch.

He is now, but he wasn't back in the day. I couldn't even tell it was the same guy because he looked so different.

I've not seen him recently. The image I have if I ever think of him is the Blind video.

Good song, incidentally. And I don't seem to have it here.

He reminded me of Dani Filth with facial hair when I saw him last night, but in the Blind video (which was number 2, by the way) he almost looked like a teenager with dreads.

He more or less was, I think.

The video's good, though a bit oversimplistic, but the song's great.

EDIT: a moment's research tells me that he was in fact about 23 at the time. Didn't look it.

He looked much younger. I actually enjoyed watching the Clown video (#3) for some reason. Though it has been confirmed that Fieldy has looked like a fool their entire career.

There first album had some decent songs.
After that...ugh.
Friends of mine are fan of them, so I have to listen to Korn on a regular base.

The self-titled is a good album. Everything that comes after is patchy at best.

I have a DVD of theirs with videos all the way up to Issues, I believe.

Some of them are entertaining, others are flat out weird.

I bought a cd as an impulse buy last night...IQ's Dark Matter.

So far, it's pretty good...reminds me of a non-crappy Pink Floyd mixed with a smudge of Dream Theater.

The first 2 were the best and follow the leader and Issues were good. They rapidly went down hill after Issues IMO.
