It's called a Shag'n Wag'n (Shagging Wagon).

Oh and I bet I can fit my entire kit under the seat of my moped :p

Zildjian 12-07-2006 10:39 AM

Bassest shouldn't talk.. You can barley hear them most of the time

Retarded Chipple 12-07-2006 10:44 AM
My bands bassist sucks, for some reason. He likes to tell me stuff I already know like Chris Adler is a good drummer, as if I dont know. He doesnt even play drums! Speed is everything in his opinion.
Tell him how Flea or Les Claypool* are amazing bassists. If he has a go at you, say something like: "yeah, its annoying when people who don't play the instrument tell you [insert something here]"

Or just fit a little hint into conversation..."I hate it when people who don't play drums tell me who's a good drummer, as if I didn't already know! You ever get that...?"

*They're the only bassists I could think of :p

Today sucked. I got a U in my english mock... I lost concentration after about 15 mins and then i went to sleep for the last hour and a half...

Corkofski 12-07-2006 11:40 AM

i got a U in my mocks

got a c for lqanguage, d for lit.

its a pass, eh?

maniac0796 12-07-2006 11:58 AM

I have the attention span of a seagull, it doesn't help :(

Corkofski 12-07-2006 12:01 PM

same

i didnt revise at all

maniac0796 12-07-2006 12:04 PM

Yuh, i also have the short term memory of a goldfish, so i'm in like, the worst possible position ever

Corkofski 12-07-2006 12:07 PM

same

you didnt do solvents, did you?

maniac0796 12-07-2006 12:12 PM

Nope, never done solvents....

I just have the rotten luck of having 3 things which aid me in failing exams:
My handwriting
My short term memory
My concentration

supposedly I'm a very smart person at doing anything practical and I'm supposed to be very logical aswell, but i just cannot do exams.

the_pure_drummer 12-07-2006 12:20 PM

I hate exams!

Btw, Hey

TTTSNB 12-07-2006 12:36 PM

I hate exams here as well, although the british everything in school seems to be worse, hah.

LoneStarDrummer 12-07-2006 12:38 PM

finals are pissing me off. i can't stand them. especially accumulative finals. those are the worst

the_pure_drummer 12-07-2006 12:42 PM

I like gatsby's american dream alot!

Vannaroth 12-07-2006 12:42 PM

Ha I failed by GCSEs quite badly, got Bs in English and history though. Had to spend a year retaking maths before I could go into A Level. Went from a D to a B.

Panopticon 12-07-2006 12:49 PM

Hate that book.

the_pure_drummer 12-07-2006 01:06 PM

I was talking about the band in the thread somewhere!

I'm predicted a B in maths, but thats the highest i can get unless i do the higher.
C/D in english and D in english lit, double A in science, E in history, A/B in RM, C in systems, C in french.

Pretty lame compared to my sister who got 9 A*'s, 2 A's and a B.

But she goes to colyton grammar, so she's all brains no practical sense. As long as i pass in RM, maths and science, i'll be happy.

Panopticon 12-07-2006 01:18 PM

I'm happy...my marks are so much better now...

They went from:
Peace and Politics - 70
Tech design - 67
English - 34:upset:

to:
Peace and politics - 76
Tech Design - 76
English - 78

My lowest mark is now my highest.

Janeway 12-07-2006 01:21 PM

I want to name my kid Mercy Lewis.

I could say, "Mercy Mercy Mercy" all the time. =/

Edit: 34??

78?

In ENGLISH? Did you just never do any of the work?
Because I paraphrased wikipedia entries half the time and I NEVER got below a 90 in it.

maniac0796 12-07-2006 01:25 PM

Man, The drummer from Jamiroquai is awesome

In fact, Jamiroquai are just awesome in themselves.

Dude same here apart from im not doing gcse's yet.

My sister had something like 5 A*'s, 5 A's and a B!

I hate her shes to smart for her own good!

Btw: How old is your sister?

maniac0796 12-07-2006 01:30 PM

17 now, going to uni next year. Can't wait till she's gone, miserable old sea hag

Anyone know if this is a good metronome, and can anyone give any suggestions for others

http://www.drumwright.co.uk/pages/product_detail.asp?F_ProductID=4057

I'm looking up to £50, so about $90-100 US

Any suggestions?

Retarded Chipple 12-07-2006 01:32 PM

1 B, 7 C's and 2 D's for chipple. NO revision, just lots of skateboarding. During exam leave I was skateboarding, the night before exams I'd be out skating. Then I'd go to school do an exam and be back out skating again in the afternoon :p

Tama Rhythm Watch or Yamaha Click Station. Or, just stick with ye olde Korg MA-30 :thumb:

EDIT: They aint under £50 though!

maniac0796 12-07-2006 01:39 PM

The rhythm watch and click stations are both around £100, out my price range. The MA30 seems to be winning at the moment, but i know a few people here have said it has volume problems...

They seem to go from cheap, to really expensive. Quite annoying.

And instead of skating, it's biking or drumming for me, or playing need for speed most wanted!

Hehe, I did edit just before your post.

The only problem with the MA-30 is that the sound only comes through one phone when you plug headphones in. There is a way round it though, you just plug the headphones half way in then for some reason you'll hear it in both ears!!! :amaze:

I spent all my time skateboarding during my GCSEs because I didn't play drums then! I started about 2 months after my exams finished :p

maniac0796 12-07-2006 01:58 PM

Hmmm. It's either a metronome, or a sonor 10x2 jungle snare drum

who goes, you decide!!!!

vote now MX'ers

Janeway 12-07-2006 02:04 PM

I want a Boss DB-66.

Those things are fun as shit. =/

ringworm 12-07-2006 02:11 PM

Korg MA-30's are pretty bad, go with something a little more predictable & better quality

I bought one & returned it the same day

maniac0796 12-07-2006 02:13 PM

Boss DB30

or

korg KDM2

???

ringworm 12-07-2006 02:20 PM

hmm, the Boss looks rechargeable, it uses Lithium batteries

The Korg looks a little more versatile - it uses 4AAA

http://www.portlandmusiccompany.com/db30.html

http://www.portlandmusiccompany.com/kmd1.html

but I dont know which I would pick

Bonham#1! 12-07-2006 02:26 PM

From reading both descriptions, I'd say Korg. Plus it looks cooler.

maniac0796 12-07-2006 02:31 PM

Looking at the specs and stuff, I'd buy the Korg probably...
