I'm a soldier in the Army. Being on night-shift lets me avoid all the BS during the day, so I like it. I get payed to sit and MX and play games all night:). My actual job is a network admin.

superpeer 03-18-2005 06:40 AM

Aye, aye, Soldier.

Jom 03-18-2005 06:40 AM

My roommate and his friends came in baked and drunk last night at like three in the morning. They took about five minutes to unlock the door (I heard the key scratching the door and laughing), then they come in, turn on all the lights, and start rummaging around for food.

"Dude, you said you had pizza!"
"I did, I don't know where it is!"
"I bet you Jim ate it."
"Maybe, let's just go across the street to get food."
(Note: he took the pizza with him before he left, but he forgot, like a dumbass)
"NO! Fuck him, I'm waking him up. JIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIM, you asshole! Try to sleep through me screaming, you bitch! JIIIIIIIM!"
"Dude, shut up."
"NO! (the kid carries on some more)"
(I pretend to be asleep)

So yeah, I'm operating on not many hours of sleep. This is also strike seven with my roommate, he gets three more chances before we get out for the year before I just kill him.

ArcLite 03-18-2005 06:42 AM

Piss on his bed.

/Random act of retaliation.

BoboTheRagingHobo 03-18-2005 06:42 AM

BrawR!

We have to play some time together Chris, and gotta play some more CS:Source as well...

DoD = Mod of Half-Life
CS = Mod of Half-Life

Bot brilliant games as well.

ArcLite 03-18-2005 06:43 AM

We shall play both this weekend.

Jom 03-18-2005 06:46 AM

You know, I should. While he's sleeping in it.

Then I'll try to say that he must have pissed himself.

superpeer 03-18-2005 06:59 AM

Do it !

Apocalyptic Raids 03-18-2005 07:02 AM

I love teh DoD, although im not to good at it, i can show flashes of brilliance once i a while. Im better at CS though (1.6, not source)

BoboTheRagingHobo 03-18-2005 07:20 AM

Must get as many CS, CS:Source and DoD players together off these forums and play...would be pretty cool...

Rage Against The Lavigne 03-18-2005 07:20 AM

Shred Danson 03-18-2005 09:49 AM

Bad day...
Stupid Parents, telling me to turn down my music.
Stupid fascist stepmom, grabbing my hair violently and trying to cut it off...I had my hair in a ponytail (because my parents want me to look specifically the way they want), and she got mad because I "didn't shave properly". So she comes up behind me and takes a pair of scissors, grabbed my ponytail fricken' tight and tried to cut off my long locks. Fuckin' bitch. My parents are beyond fucking fascist, man. Then my dad doesn't do shit, just starts bitchin' at me. I swear, man, this is stupid. I'm moving out, that's it. I "didn't shave properly", and all of a sudden, they turn into the Spawns of Satan. Do any of your guys' parents act like this?

(I know you all don't care, I just needed to vent some frustration.)

Jom 03-18-2005 09:50 AM

EDIT:

Geez, ICB, you need to go to Kentucky ASAP.

Shred Danson 03-18-2005 09:55 AM

I know. The thing is, my grandmother actually treats me like a SON, you know? She's lost both her daughters at an early age, and she pretty much RAISED me during childhood since my dad was workin' all the time and my mom was suffering from cancer...My dad's always like "if you move to Kentucky, it's just because you're going to be spoiled by your grandma". I always reply "No, it's because I'm tired of you being such a dick, you and my stepmom. Try acting less like a policeman and more of a father, dude"...Anyway, yeah, spring break, I'm fuckin' gone.

I don't live with either but me step-mum is always telling me to cut my hair because I look like a girl and my dad joins in with that shit. Infact, I am going over there tomorrow :upset:

Shred Danson 03-18-2005 09:56 AM

It's not just a hair issue, it's the fact that they have to be so oppressive about everything in my life.

Six Foot Revolver 03-18-2005 09:57 AM

Yeah, I realised I just felt like sharing with MX :)

Jom 03-18-2005 09:58 AM

Yeah, forget about living with your dad and stepmom.

If your grandma is the parent figure you want in your life, and it certainly seemed like she played a significant role while you were growing up (sad story about her losing daughters, by the way), then you should definitely go.

Shred Danson 03-18-2005 10:01 AM

Yeah, that's the way I feel. And if they refuse to let me leave, I will sue for emancipation rights. They can't keep me forever. Besides, they always say "We're kicking you out when you're 18", it's like, why wait? I'm not going to wait seven more months to get out of this hellhole. People here always say "oh, you're going to Kentucky? What a redneck", but it's like "you don't understand, man. It's more relaxing there than here".

Jom 03-18-2005 10:06 AM

Kentucky is a nice place, actually, but people give it hell because of their dialect.

If you don't have it, people will think you're sort of an alien, but at least you'll be at a place you're happy with.

///

My advice, though, if you go: make sure you show your grandma that you appreciate what she's doing for you. Be willing to do chores and work around the house for her. Don't be a lazyass.

Shred Danson 03-18-2005 10:11 AM
Kentucky is a nice place, actually, but people give it hell because of their dialect.
It's a beautiful place, man. Not overrun by industry like over here in California.

Actually, I have a slight accent, which I probably inherited from my mom (despite being raised in California my whole life). And yes, I visit there regularly, especially since my grandmother moved back there a couple years ago. And it's true, one thing that sticks out in my mind is what my cousin told me: "Back there in California, y'all make fun of us for our accent, well it's the same here, man".

I've told her that, man. I told her that I'd be willing to do anything that could be of some help to her, because I know it would be better than what I do here.

Fuck your rebel flag

I hate to sound like a myspace kid here, but it's just been burning in my mind for the past few years.

It's good that you took the initiative and not take someone's advice on it.

You should be golden, so long as you can hold out until then.

Shred Danson 03-18-2005 10:18 AM

Anyway, spring break, man. I hate to bail on my band, but it's what I have to do.
