Does anybody has an opinion of that Peavey TNT 115 1x15 200W Bass Combo Amp?

Jody LeCompte 11-03-2006 01:51 PM

Nothing special, but a damn solid amp.

sixner 11-03-2006 01:53 PM

pin - I had a TKO 115, same thing just less power........... its awesome. That thing was indestructable, really. i went through ALOT of punishment but it stood strong.

the weight and bad placing of handles are the only draw back though

pair it with a 2x10 (if need be) and it'd be even better :thumb:

When I used to play for this church ensemble in downtown New Orleans they had 30 year old Peavey combo and a Peavey Foundation/Fender P both from '86 and strung with Fender Flats.

You want to talk about good tone?

Jimbobntnr 11-03-2006 01:55 PM

Ick. For the first time in my life I just received notice that I didn't make it into a band that I auditioned for.
"At this time we have decided to go with the fourth person we auditioned. We areally appreciate you auditioning. You are a great bass player, we just feel like this guy was a good fit for the band."

Pinhead13 11-03-2006 01:56 PM

There's one at a music store near me, I might go there tommorrow to try it out. I might sell my Rumble amp at ebay for at least $150.00

Jody LeCompte 11-03-2006 01:56 PM

I've never been in a real band?

sixner 11-03-2006 01:59 PM

Jody LeCompte 11-03-2006 02:01 PM

There aren't any bands around here except like...these two.
http://myspace.com/hedgefund
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=96362250

I've gigged with John Mark Gray and Ive played a few tunes with Hedgefund at a various gig, and I play at an open mic night, but no band.

I've been in "bands" but no one knows how to play around here, and the ones that do know how have no respect for my playing.

-shrug- I do the solo thing now

sixner 11-03-2006 02:04 PM

gotcha...

There's gotta be some sort of local scene going on?....

i dunno... go to your local campus area and check out a few bar shows or something, ask around for the best acts in the area.....

Jody LeCompte 11-03-2006 02:08 PM

The music scene starts at college, and the college musicians around here hate the idea of playing with highschool kids, no matter how well they might do.

I'd love to play with John Mark again, but hes in Tennessee with some band or another.

sixner 11-03-2006 02:13 PM

thats weird....

i guess im techically of the college scene since im out of high school... though im not enrolled in college

but im playing with some old.....er.. people, hah. im 18... the rest of the band is 20, 27, 32, and 35

*Shrug*

anyways, im off to shower n' shave n' such.

Lata~
Solo acoustic Ben :p

And what makes solo acoustic any more viable than bass? :p

Efrim 11-03-2006 03:22 PM

Hello team.

Jody LeCompte 11-03-2006 03:22 PM

Theres more people that play folk tunes with just their voice and an acoustic than bassist :p

Efrim 11-03-2006 03:24 PM

What's up in cyberspace today?

ebe9 11-03-2006 03:24 PM

Who here believes in Karma?

Jody LeCompte 11-03-2006 03:25 PM

-shrug-

I get alot of crap frm my friends because Im just that prick that plays three chords and sings, but I enjoy it. It's better than just saying "I cant find a band" and sitting in my room running scales.

Jimbobntnr 11-03-2006 03:26 PM

solo bassist = big fish in a small pond

what's up prog?

Eh. According to some of my friends, I don't make real music, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Who here believes in Karma?
i believe in karma and reincarnation.

Efrim 11-03-2006 03:28 PM

I definitely took the day off, and it feels great. I think I might record something today.
Also, I need to find a used pool table.

Jody LeCompte 11-03-2006 03:28 PM

The last little thing I wrote was pitiful...

The verses are Em-A2-Am and then the chorus is F-Am-C-Em

Jimbobntnr 11-03-2006 03:33 PM

Jody LeCompte 11-03-2006 03:34 PM

Efrim 11-03-2006 03:35 PM

Anyway, I have alot of karma deaths, so I'd end up becoming a worm.

BenJammin 11-03-2006 03:40 PM

Efrim 11-03-2006 03:51 PM
