BuddyBigsby 12-27-2004 06:15 PM

Ah, it was because of the kids in The Pit.

Figures.

cbmartinez 12-27-2004 07:55 PM

Zakath, Moniker and the bunch.

I actually really like "I Let Go" from the new 18 Visions Album. :(

shane italian 12-27-2004 08:00 PM

xFilesx - Excrutiation
Terror - One With The Underdogs
Some Kind Of Hate - Undisputed

That's what I scored today at Tower Records.

cbmartinez 12-27-2004 08:28 PM

Nice. I need to check out xfilesx.

Teehee.

I got Lifeless today, that even sounds different than anything else.

cbmartinez 12-27-2004 09:31 PM

I really like the early stuff. Until The Inks Runs Out is great, Lifeless is fun, The Best Of is decent, and Vanity is tolerable. But Until The Ink Runs Out, Vanity, and Obsession all sound completely different from each other, it's strange.

capri sun junkie 12-27-2004 09:37 PM

I still need to get Best Of and Until The Ink Runs Out. I really dig the songs I've heard off of those two the most out of any 18V stuff.

Dude... which one were you at? I picked up some CDs from the one in Brea today. I was in Irvine before that but there's not a Towere there, is there?

BuddyBigsby 12-28-2004 12:43 AM

And I hear that 18V are playing old stuff now. It might just be because it was kind of a special show, but they just played this small OC venue called Chain Reaction where typically smaller bands play, but apparently half their set was old songs.

I hear about Chain Reaction all the time. That'd be good if they do, because I might go see them in Minneapolis.

BuddyBigsby 12-28-2004 01:01 AM

Chain Reaction's a cool venue because its so small. The place is like a fucking sauna though. They have a REALLY weak air conditioner and when you go to a sold out show there (which is only like 200 kids, if that) you have no room to mosh and you start dripping sweat even if you're just standing around.

Facedown Fest 2005

It's going to be in Corona, CA at the Showcase Theatre (yes, be jealous of my being 20-30 minutes away) in March. Bands I'm looking forward to: Bloody Sunday, Jesus Wept, NIV, Seventh Star, In Due Time...

BuddyBigsby 12-28-2004 01:08 AM

I'm 10-15 minutes away.

Bitch.

capri sun junkie 12-28-2004 01:49 AM

I'm about 27 hours and ten minutes away... So says mapquest.

BuddyBigsby 12-28-2004 02:00 AM

Well The Locust is coming to this venue in like a month. *nudge, nudge*

NewKindofArmy03 12-28-2004 02:58 PM

I just went CD shopping. I couldn't think of what I wanted but I got some good ones.
Sick of it All-Blood, Sweat, and No Tears
Envy-Dead Sinking Story
Figure Four-Suffering the Loss
Victims/From Ashes Rise split

cbmartinez 12-28-2004 03:04 PM

Where did you find Envy?!?!

NewKindofArmy03 12-28-2004 03:10 PM

Relapse Records on South St. in Philly. They had Dead Sinking Stories and the split with Iscariote.

40 oz 2 freedom 12-28-2004 05:57 PM

I got a book today on the history of Hip-Hop and a Miles Davis biography. If I'm not hardcore I don't know what is.

Do you have a copy of Straight Outta Compton for every room in your house, and every car that you drive?
Relapse Records on South St. in Philly. They had Dead Sinking Stories and the split with Iscariote.
Whoa, is that owned by the label, Relapse?

NewKindofArmy03 12-28-2004 09:55 PM

Yeah. Here's the store's website: http://www.relapseretail.com/

Of course I do.

*hands out 10 million scene points to 40 and capri for liking rap*

shane italian 12-28-2004 10:03 PM

"It's good to like all kinds of music."

But seriously, I'm a wigger at heart. I've listened to rap 4 evr.

BridgeToSolace 12-28-2004 11:32 PM

"A18 has recently announced their seperation and had the following to say:

"It's over Jonny. No Last show. No nothing. Some of us cared too much. Some of us couldn't care less. Thanks to those who were there for us. We love you.""

Balls :upset:

shane italian 12-28-2004 11:34 PM

Yeah, I was pretty bummed about that. One of the few OC bands that made the OC Scene look good.

A-Life-Less-Plagued 12-29-2004 01:02 AM

Lets go, back, to square one again, it seems like we've all lost touch, with what we all once loved so much!

I'm really bored. And this is a cool song. With Honor's first EP is better than I thought.

shane italian 12-29-2004 01:04 AM

I was listening to that today while driving through a parking garage. That song reminds me of Texas, we used to listen to it everyday after school.

A-Life-Less-Plagued 12-29-2004 01:10 AM

I've completely changed my friend's music tastes. He used to be into Black Sabbath and Nirvana and Marilyn Manson, now I've got him into Bane, Another Breath, Blacklisted, Bury Your Dead, Every Time I Die and Carry On. I rule.

CONNER_NWHC 12-29-2004 02:43 AM

Good job there i got this chick likeing alot more hardcore.

CONNER_NWHC 12-29-2004 02:47 AM

http://www.attheshow.at/home.htm this is a pretty cool site for show pics.

victimofreality 12-29-2004 03:13 AM

Reiner, I listened to the band The Breakout that you said something about. I like it a lot.

BridgeToSolace 12-29-2004 08:30 AM
Reiner, I listened to the band The Breakout that you said something about. I like it a lot.
Chris suggested them to me a while ago too.

Have you been able to find anything by them on Soulseek or something?

All I've been able to hear is the stuff on purevolume.

Let's Chop Cats! 12-29-2004 10:33 AM

Yeah your not really going to find anything on Soulseek by them, but I have their EP and Demo on it, so just get it off me.

Or buy it off interpunk if your not to jewish, http://www.interpunk.com/item.cfm?Item=59031&
otherwise just use the tracklisting to find the right songs off of me.
