I d/l s/t and Another Side. I would have d/l all the others if I didn't already have them.

Edit- Who are Depeche Mode?
Are you serious? They sing like Just Can't Get Enough and Somebody. They are like a crazy new wave band if I got my genres correct. Not classic rock at all.

I didn't download any of the albums! Haha, stick it to the man.
Most because I'm not big into Dylan any more.
Edit- Who are Depeche Mode?
A dance-pop group from the 1980's. They did that "Personal Jesus" song.

Walrus Gumboot 10-02-2005 06:39 PM
I downloaded The Basement Tapes and John Wesley Harding. I might download s/t and Another Side of later, I have all the others.
My favorite on JWH is The Ballad of Frankee Lee And Judas Preist

Three chords, Five minutes

Bob Dylan's best music is usually also his most simple.

I'm pretty sure Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts only has three chords, some versions I've looked at have four chords but it's a useless chord added in for no reason. It's about 9ish minutes long if I remember correctly.

Desolation Row essentially only has 3 chords, although they add in an Esus4 every once in a while...which may be considered the fourth chord. It's about ten minutes long.

PinkFreud 10-02-2005 06:48 PM

i downloaded the few that i didnt have. good stuff.

i dont like depeche mode.

edit: ugh. i love lily, rosemary, and the jack of hearts. ive listened to it a lot today.

Illmatic 10-02-2005 06:50 PM

All Along The Watchtower is my favorite song off of JWH

/cliche

It reminds me also of Neil Young's I'm the Ocean, which has four chords (Em G C D ) Which is 10 minutes long but not long enough IMO. I don't think you guys like Mirror Ball as much

Oh. I feel like an idiot now.

I love Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest. Definitely my favorite song on JWH. I Pity the Poor Immigrant is probably 2nd. I've soured on All Along the Watchtower recently. I used to like his version more than Hendrix's, but now I guess I've come to my senses and agree that Jimi's version > orginal.

Does anyone have any studio albums by The Animals? I only have a greatest hits and I really want some more.

You're so cliche they should stick your face on a bumper sticker.

I dont' think I have any Animals studio albums, in fact I know I don't. I wish I had some.

Broken Arrow 10-02-2005 06:57 PM

I downloaded John Wesley Harding(I'm listeneing to know) s/t, New Morning and Nashville Skyline I had the rest.

You know like bumper stickers sometimes have cliche sayings on them...or something.

Broken Arrow 10-02-2005 06:59 PM

The Jam part of Cowgirl in the Sand and Down By the River only has 2 chords but the corus's bring it some more.

Jacaranda 10-02-2005 06:59 PM

I have never seen an Animals studio album, but thats probably because like 75% of their songs are just covers. But I do have a War and Eric Burdon album I got not long ago.

Bumperstickers usually have cliche phrases on them...I dunno...I just said the first thing that came to mind.

I've got an Eric Burdon and War album too!! I listened to it once when I first got it, it wasn't overly amazing though.

I've never seen one either, so I was hoping someone had one they could upload. My greatest hits cd is from 1965 or something, so it doesn't include most of their psychadelic songs. I was just on allmusic.com browsing their albums and they sound pretty good, it says they've got some long psychadelic jam tracks. I'd be interested in hearing those. Is the Eric Burdon and War album any good?

Walrus Gumboot 10-02-2005 07:03 PM

Adam Carolla does suck

Oh! Which one? I got the one with the Paint it Black cover and I can't even think of the name.

I hate comedians who only joke about what race they are, I mean once in awhile is okay. I love Mitch Hedburg.

Fave: Bill Hicks, early George Carlin, Lewis Black, Chris Rock, Richard Pryor, Lenny Bruce, Dave Chappelle
Least Fave: Any gay/lesbian/minority comedians who base their entire act around that

And I find Dane Cook and Mitch Hedberg to be insanely overrated

I have no clue, oddly enough. I just went to check, and I couldn't find it. I have a War album (Why Can't We Be Friends?), but I'm pretty sure I wasn't thinking of that one.

Does Eric Burdon even have any creditable songwriting talent?

Oh I forgot to say Flight of the Conchords. I love those two guys I saw them on HBO's One Night Stand and I was laughing so hard, probably the most I've laughed at a comedian since I saw Mitch Hedburg.

Not really but he has an insanely good voice. I think he only wrote like 2 songs off their greatest hits if even. (Or the one I have, he wrote Sky Pilot didn't he?)

What! Mitch Hedburg overrated, I have nothing to say except that I'm dissappointed.

Walrus Gumboot 10-02-2005 07:12 PM

I watch Comedy Central pretty much exclusively, and I'd have to say that Dane Cook, Demitri Martin and some other guy who's name I forget (pathetic)are my favorites of the newer ones, but Tina Fey from SNL writes some good stuff
Not to mention all of the other SNL classics, Belushi, Akroyd, Murphey, Meyers, Carvey, Farley Martin etc.

I'd also say that Comedy Central shows some of the worst movies I have ever seen

EDIT: Is Mitch Hedburg the one that wear sunglasses, looks down and mumbles into the mic about how turkey should just be itself? If so, I find him extremley funny
