Go Oakland University!

It would be sooooo awesome if they beat UNC. Not for my bracket, but for my city.

Jom 03-17-2005 11:38 PM

I predict that this thread will be up to page 1913 when I wake up tomorrow to go to class.

Good night to you all
This thread is kinda dull tonight. Is everyone out drinkin/tokin?
Well, people drink the 2nd-most alcoholic beverages on St. Patrick's Day (right behind New Year's Eve).

I am brushing my teeth right now, that's why I am not in bed (a)

BoboTheRagingHobo 03-17-2005 11:47 PM

If I had alcohol...I wouldn't be at the computer right now...

But I am bored, so I am posting on teh intranetz omgz.

Jom 03-17-2005 11:51 PM

If I was 21, I so wouldn't be here.

But I'm not. :(

BoboTheRagingHobo 03-18-2005 12:00 AM

Screw being 21...

I just want a 5th of Jager and some beer...and I would be happy.

Kurtz 03-18-2005 12:01 AM

I want the experience of drinking in a bar on SPD.

So I gotta be 21.

Back for a while. Hello.

All upset drinker wannabes need to go to Amsterdam.

Or anywhere in Europe, for that matter.

BoboTheRagingHobo 03-18-2005 12:09 AM

That's a bit expensive just to go out for a drink. :p

Cain 03-18-2005 12:12 AM
That's a bit expensive just to go out for a drink. :p
True. Still, it's fun. :)

I don't see why high school kids want to drink anyway. Getting drunk at someone's house or in the woods is even lamer than getting high in someone's house or in the woods. (Assuming of course that none of you live in a big city area) Wait for college. That's where the real parties are.

But why am I giving advice? I'm the one that thinks all that stuff is lame anyway. :p

You could basically do anything in Amsterdam except kill and steal.

I waited till I was 18 to start drinking...so ya, I never did any of that stuff. I am 19 in a few months as well, and I don't drink often as well.

Riva 03-18-2005 12:16 AM

My friend had Hash Brownies in Amsterdam.

The red light district will make you laugh, titillate you, and make you feel really sorry for anybody in it all at once.

The things the whores get up to to try and snag their clientele can be hilarious, and a lot of them are hot, too. All of them are clean: the authorities see to that. And yet it still makes me feel sorry for them, but more for the patrons than the whores. I spotted a few who were all over the place all night, clearly regular visitors. Kind of pitiful, like old men peering at porno magazines in the backs of convenience stores in NYC.

I loved Amsterdam. All the morons in high school gave me hell for not smoking pot while I was there. Whatever, I like my brain cells, and I like my wallet.

The thing that impressed me the most about Amsterdam was the sensible attitude the authorities take towards prostitution and drugs. Hard drugs like crack are obviously illegal, as they should be. Pot is sort of, but it's more like they let you know what the risks are, and then if you still want to do it, they'll let you. And prostitution and beer and pron (**** is censored? I had no idea!): it's not hidden and shunned the way it is in the States. They understand people's impulses and simply regulate them rather than banning them.

I wouldn't do any of those things, but if people want to do it, you should carefully let them instead of banning it. Part of the whole mystique is because it's illegal here anyway. Drinking and drugs, in my experience, are way less exciting to people that can do it without fear of any sort of reprisal or punishment.

Hey Lucas, how did you change your name?

Cain 03-18-2005 12:25 AM
Hey Lucas, how did you change your name?
I asked in the Ask the Mods thread, and reposted my request just as DBJ was scanning the forum. He hopped onto his "admin control panel" and changed it for me in like two seconds. :thumb:

What's happening, Chris?

ArcLite 03-18-2005 12:28 AM

Ahh, nice. I may try to do that. I haven't liked my name since the day I made it.

Cain 03-18-2005 12:30 AM
Ahh, nice. I may try to do that. I haven't liked my name since the day I made it.
Yeah, me too, sort of. No one called me on how stupid mine was, though, so I kept it. I changed it to Cain because I'm reading the Bourne Identity right now, and it makes me want to be an assassin. :)

Cain 03-18-2005 12:32 AM

I need to get a picture in the photoalbum. But I don't have any good ones. :(

I agree with Jim, madey, you do have beautiful long hair.

Cain 03-18-2005 12:38 AM

/kills thread utterly.

Someone revive it, please. I'm sorry. :(

ATM 03-18-2005 12:40 AM

Sup!

Cain 03-18-2005 12:41 AM

Hey dude. What's shaking?

ATM 03-18-2005 12:41 AM

Hey Madey

Cain 03-18-2005 12:41 AM
Heh. Thanks. :)

Hey ATM.
No prob.

Hope the smell from downstairs isn't still too bad. ;)

ATM 03-18-2005 12:42 AM

I just got home from an Atmosphere concert, it was so fun.
