Thats what I thought, until I saw the difference in price and the return policy.
Well anyways, if you do it too often. obviously, Ide think they would figure out what your doing, and they wouldnt let you return it anymore.

Its hard to go in a cd store and walk out with nothing. So when I go in one, want something, and what I want is not there, I end up taking something else anyways.

I do that all the time. I usually walk out with 2 or 3 cds if it is an unplanned visit.

I cant do that, as im pretty broke right now. I took all of my money realy on cd's over the past few months. And I dont consider it wasted money. Havnt bought one in 3 weeks now though. I was gunna buy 2 the last time but my dad talked me out of it, as I would have been completely broke.

Broken Arrow 11-25-2005 08:23 PM
Yeah, 25$ isn't that much to pay for a cd here. That's before our crappy 15% tax, too. :(
Are you serious??

I've but over 100 albums in Canada and the most I've ever spent was $17.99.

I give private guitar lessons, so I rake in about $80 a week. None of it is reported to the IRS (keep quiet please), so I spend what ever is left, after gas, on cds.

What? I buy most of my CDs for $20. where do you buy your cds?

Yeah, that's always tempting. I only walk in CD stores with cash on a planned visit. That way at least I can save some...

The only times I get money is christmas and my birthday...And every now and then when my parents buy me a cd.

I hate it when you only have that much amount of money and you have to choose between which cd you want. It takes me ages, and when I finally choose, I dont go back incase I change my mind.

Wewt, just got back from snowboarding. I basically spent to day in the new and improved rail park. \:D/ I learned a couple new tricks, and I had some wicked falls. Now my left wrist is swollen as a balloon, and I have a cut on the inside of my mouth.

It was so worth it.

NP: Porcupine Tree- Wet Ribbon

zabbit82 11-25-2005 08:45 PM

Oh man, I haven't gone snowboarding in forever (seroiusly, years). I'm no good at it, and I can't do tricks worth a damn, but I like doing it just for the hell of it.

TojesDolan 11-25-2005 08:48 PM

Yeah, when you injure yourself while playing any sport it feels great afterwards. Because you know at least you were movin'. It happened to me playing soccer today. Good times. I can't feel sh¡t in my knee but I'm happy about it lololololololol.

Yep.

CD's : 10 (cheapo-reapo, unless they have discount but these are rare and very few are good)
15-18 (SUPER KEWL MEGA HIP ALBUMS that everyone want and what not, but are not exactly tr00)
18 - 26+ (SUPER MEGA tr00 gr1m albums that I really want but are too expensive. Until I get a job. >_>)

I suck at playing soccer, but i love playing it. Sometimes when im injured im like proud of it, because i can say i hurt my ankle because somebody kicked it while playing soccer.
What? I buy most of my CDs for $20. where do you buy your cds?
Anywhere really.

HMV
Sunrise
Locally owned Record Stores such as
Grooves
Dr. Disk

Flea Markets

Maybe its just the metal albums(which I don't buy) cost more.

zabbit82 11-25-2005 08:56 PM

I don't think that single CD's cost more in one genre than another. Sometimes new releases will differ in price than ones that have been released for years. But different price for different genres? I haven't come across that yet.

That happens to me alot, Hip hop cost around 14-17 dollars while metal cd's cost from 20-25 dollars.

Shattered_Future 11-25-2005 09:01 PM

I get most of mine from either BestBuy (best prices hands down in my area) or Tower (best selection).

Neither have everything I want, but they do OK.

zabbit82 11-25-2005 09:09 PM

Best Buy has a wide selection of CD's, for some pretty good prices too.

If I don't find it in the store, its amazon.com. :thumb:

The only 2 things I don't like about ordering online is waiting for your stuff to come and paying S+H for it.

I get mine at HMV, Music World, or Virgin when Im on vacation. The internet too. But havnt ordered anything yet. If it were simple and all, Ide order everything from the internet due to the lower prices.

So I heard some of you people never leave this thread, so I will post the link to the A/S/L thread.

Where'd you get that from? Is it different from the Lateralus version?

GenuineImitation 11-25-2005 10:35 PM

When do we find out the results of the top 50 R&Mers of the year?

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-25-2005 10:40 PM

I'm guessing Schyma is busy counting up the votes as we speak. Either that, or he's doing some acid, which means we'll have to wait a day or two for the results.

 I hope he's not counting the votes while doing acid. Otherwise we would have some pretty interesting results.

Jacaranda 11-25-2005 10:47 PM

That thread really turned into a large spamfest...

My guess is he's just started counting or is done and just organizing.

Yea, then the top R&M poster would be Syd Barrett.

Actually, Syd will probably win anyway.

Lurking on the internetz I found it. It's a live version, but I stull have like 3 MB's to download. As soon as I get it full I can send you the file. :)

EDIT: To my ears it's pretty much the same, but I've given it just one listen, though.

Hello there. Just so you know (for the future, that is), we usually try to avoid posts that just say "hi", or "sup". But welcome to the thread. Hopefully you have good musical taste.
I dunno, I like knowing that I was the first one to open and listen to the cd I bought.
I feel like that too. I generally only buy a CD used if I'm having a particularly hard time finding it.

That said, I wish there was a used store or two near me.

He's still around somewhere, under a different name. I can never remember what it is, though.
