Speaking of Arabic. My dad speaks. Whenever he gets deployed out to Saudi Arabia and that area, he gets mistaken for one o' them 'cause he's gotten it down pretty naturally..it's kind of weird.

It's pretty crappy, becasue my cousins are lebanese too, (Their dad's lebanese, my mom is Lebanese, ), and since their dad is Lebanese, they are lebanese citizens, and they took on their dad's traights, so they're all tanish/darkish, but they don't speak an ounce of arabic, or you know understand the culture or anything.

Me...I have blonde hair, blue eyes, completely white, but speak Arabic, go every summer, carry a flag around, you know, but they can have a passport and I can't,

Its all about charisma. And name recognition. Charisma has a certain deal to do with intelligence, but someone groomed for presidency like GWB can just have someone write speeches for him, so his lack of intelligence is less of a factor.

The president on numerous occasion has demonstrated his lack of intelligence. Im not saying Kerry would have been better or anything, just that hes not very smart. I liked Clinton better, he got the finances straightened away (okay HE didnt, but his administration did).

When Jos said no one had been stopped at aiport checks who were terrorists well... one guy was stopped in Miami I think just a few years ago and he had bombs inside the heels of his shoes and he would have blown up the entire plane if he hadn't been caught.

Also, I don't know why they make you leave liquids in the airport. The liquids are "so dangerous" we don't want you to take them on planes with a few hundred people. We want them scattered around the airport in bins. Surely that's an even worse scenario.

By the way, Jos, I agree nearly 100% with what you said about all the scaare tactics etc. Only time police ever catch people is when there are people speeding and the driver pulls over. They don't catch mass murderers until they get a tip off.

Im really worried though, they say the plan was foiled just in time. Makes me feel how confident I am with my dad flying out on sunday, hopefully there won't be another plot...
