^ Looks br00tal.

Sunshine 12-03-2006 02:12 PM

Everything I'm asking for for my birthday and Christmas is under $20, except for a decent hairdryer and a lifelong subscription to Soulseek [$24].

But I'd kind of rather people not get me things, at least nothing big...'cause then if I don't get them something awesome for Christmas I'll feel sucky.

Like, some crap I want is like. Colored spiking gel, coloring books, old t-shirts, batteries and a snickers bar.

Undisco Kidd 12-03-2006 02:25 PM

I have nothing to ask for ever since I stopped buying CDs and subscribed to eMusic.

Janeway 12-03-2006 02:37 PM

Pfft. Paying to download music.

So far I've only got:

Red Dwarf: Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers -- Grant Naylor
Soul Purpose -- Nick Marsh
The Deeper Meaning of Liff: A Dictionary of Things There Aren't Any Words for Yet--But There Ought to Be -- Douglas Adams
Tragically I Was an Only Twin: The Complete Peter Cook -- Peter Cook

=/

Sunshine 12-03-2006 02:56 PM

When my harddrive crashed, I lost so much music.

I need to download some iPod-ripping software, like seriously.

And it's really just a 1-time thing. I could easily download more than $24 worth of music in less than an hour, and if someone got that subscription for me for my birthday, well...that'd be just convinient.

Corkofski 12-03-2006 02:57 PM

why subscribe to soulseek tho?

Josiah 12-03-2006 03:02 PM

I use Emule myself.

im a torrent guy, or if i just need one file, limewire

Janeway 12-03-2006 03:09 PM

You could just select the specific file from the torrent you want to download.

I never download just one file, though.

At the moment, I'm downloading Peter Cook's Why Bother? and Red Dwarf S. 1.

I got a mandolin yesterday. A Fender acoustic mandolin, right handed, that they can switch over easily (and for free, you get one free setup when you buy something from that store), but my dad convinced me to let him buy it for me for Christmas. So I don't get to play it until then. :(

I went to one store that was having their "Christmas sale inventory clearout". Decided to check out cymbals first. Saw they had a couple Wuhans, went to look at the prices, hoping to pick some up. The cheapest Wuhan they had was a 10" for $75. No joke. I just looked at the salesman and then walked away. They told me it'd cost about $150 to convert a mandolin to left handed, and I wouldn't get it back for 5-6 weeks. I walked right out of there, not trusting a word they said.

Then I went to another store and they said it could be done for cheap, and they recommended an instrument repair shop that was 2 stores down. I went there, and the guy that owned it was a thalidomide baby (also no joke). He had the most messed up hands (understandably), and I was in amazement at how he could actually work on repairing instruments when he was having trouble getting a pen out of his pocket.

Sunshine, a good friend/ex-girlfriend of mine had the same haircut, but it was all blonde and the front was a bit shorter. I like. (creepy)

crazyguy832 12-03-2006 05:20 PM

Fun.

:p

So, anyways, I currently own the website http://www.forsaken-city.com. Unfortunately, I no longer have time to run it anymore and am looking to sell it. If you want details, contact me via MSN (crazyguy832@hotmail.com) or email (crazyguy832@yahoo.ca).

Undisco Kidd 12-03-2006 05:22 PM

I listen to jazz. Torrents take too long and are too unstable. eMusic has a huge chunk of most everything Miles Davis, Coltrane, Monk, Blakey, and lots of other big names in jazz recorded.

22 cents a song isn't bad.

Corkofski 12-03-2006 05:25 PM

*signs up*

heyy...

i've played that before, i swear...

ages ago

or something based on it

Maggot Dream 12-03-2006 05:26 PM

Torrents are great, man. You just have to make sure your internet connection is set up to make them work well. They work best if you forward your router ports.

Bonham#1! 12-03-2006 05:28 PM

I cant find a band torrent(as in "the band.")

SlincoJ 12-03-2006 05:31 PM

My mother hates it, but I can't understand how.
